The holiday season is a special time of year to gather with family and friends to celebrate and give back to others in our community. As a district and community, we come together for others to lend a helping hand especially this time of year. That is just one example of why I am proud to be a part of the Floresville ISD community.
Daily attendance is vitally important to the academic success of a student. As a district we work with families to ensure students are present. Regular communication is key to this process. Families are encouraged to contact their student’s campus regarding each absence. We have seen a minimal increase in student attendance throughout the first semester. This is one of several things we are monitoring as we continue developing the calendar for next year.
There are a number of evening events planned for the next few weeks. We invite you to join us and celebrate our student performances. During this time, we ask that you help us keep our schools safe by reporting any suspicious activity to an administrator or police officer. If you see something, say something.
I hope you have a safe holiday season with family and friends. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. Together We Thrive.
Menu Advisory Committee
Join our Menu Advisory Committee and help us provide an even better dining experience at each of our campuses. Committee members will offer feedback regarding cafeteria menus and new food items. The next meeting will be held during the Spring with an opportunity for taste testing.

A big "Thank you" goes out to all to our community members and partners who donate to help district families in need, especially during the holiday season.
In November, we collected over 800 pounds of food during our district-wide food drive. All donations were delivered to the Floresville Food Pantry. Your generosity helped prepare baskets for Thanksgiving meals.
We also had a huge outpouring of support this year from not only the campuses, but community organizations for our District Angel Tree project! A total of 250 children will receive holiday gifts thanks to all those who signed up to adopt an angel. Thank you!
