Message from the Principal
Dear Nativity Families,
What a wonderful and eventful Wellness Week this was! From our pumpkin decorating contest and special dress days to our all-school Rosary and Spooktacular Math and Science Fair, it was a week filled with creativity, learning, and community. Thank you to the many parent volunteers who generously shared their time and energy to help make these experiences possible. A special thank you to Joan Lenny for her help in planning and executing our Spooktacular and to Tanya Maria for helping make the week such a success!
Our fourth graders presented a meaningful Living Saints Museum on Thursday, impressing us with their creative displays and their knowledge of the saints they studied. It was a joy to hear about these holy men and women and the ways they lived out their faith in service to God and others. We are grateful to Mrs. Ratter-Aikels and Mrs. Najjar for preparing our fourth graders so thoughtfully for this special experience.
Next week will be a bit quieter as we conclude our celebration of Hallowtide, the sacred days when we remember and honor the saints in heaven and pray for all the faithful departed. On Monday, our fourth graders will lead the school assembly, where we will pray a decade of the Rosary together before bringing our ofrenda display to a close.
Looking ahead to next weekend, we hope you will join us for our School Family Mass and Dinner on Saturday, November 7, at 5:00 p.m. It is always a special opportunity to come together as a school family, celebrate the Eucharist, and strengthen our community in faith. Earlier that morning, our Stars will compete in a cross-country meet at Cathedral Catholic High School. We wish our runners the very best and look forward to cheering them on!
As we head into the weekend, I hope your families enjoy a wonderful Halloween filled with fun, laughter, and safe celebrations. May we also carry the spirit of the saints with us, remembering that we are called each day to reflect Christ's love through our words, our actions, and the way we care for one another.
We look forward to seeing many of you at Monday's assembly. Have a wonderful weekend.
With gratitude,
Brittany Bateman

SCHOOL VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Thank you to those who have both completed and started the process to fulfill the requirements for volunteering. We couldn't do all the wonderful things we do for your children without the contribution of your time and talents.
Many of you completed your Live Scan, but there is still more to do. The CMG training(s) need to be completed online before your Live Scan can be added to your training record to complete your certification with the Diocese. The Mandated Reporter Training must be completed as well.
Please click HERE for the links to the volunteer requirements for The Nativity School.
The Nativity School PARENT PORTAL
Within our Parent Portal, you will find the school calendar, links to FACTS, Land's End, and Ki's for ordering lunch, information about enrichment classes, volunteer requirements, dress code and so much more.
You will also find a "Classroom Connect" section which houses information available for each grade level. You will find a welcome letter from your teacher, a class schedule (coming in August), supplies information, summer assignments if any and more.
To access the Parent Portal, go to the school website at TheNativitySchool.org, click on COMMUNITY and select Parent Portal. The password is Stars#1. For privacy reasons, please do not share this password with anyone outside the school community. Once you are in the portal, you can access information by clicking on the link in the various boxes. If a link doesn't work, it is because new data is still forthcoming and will be updated when available.
We invite you to look around in the Parent Portal. Please let Heidi or Traci in the school office know if you run into any issues.
