Happy Friday, Davis Families!

It has been great having the students back after spring break. Everyone is settling back into the daily routine. The weather has been improving so we are finally able to get the students outside for lunch. The fresh air during the day is a game changer!

Ohio State Tests start next week. The schedule is:

April 14 -- ELA Test, Day 1

April 15 -- ELA Test, Day 2

April 21 -- Math Test, Day 1

April 22 -- Math Test, Day 2

April 23 -- Science Test, 8th Grade Only

8th grade students who take courses at Scioto or Emerald Campus 1st period will not attend those classes on April 15 and 22. They will report to Davis instead.

Ways that you can help your student be well prepared on test day:

  • Remind them to charge their Chromebook each night.
  • Help them with a positive mindset -- it makes all the difference to believe that they can do well on the test, and to try as hard as they can to prove all that they have learned and know.
  • Reminders to take their time, read each question completely, determine what the question is really asking.
  • Adequate sleep each night before a test.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast before testing.
  • Arrive to school on time.

We have stressed the importance of truly taking their time on the tests, reading each question to understand exactly what the question is asking the student, and to do their very best to prove what they know. We are proud of our students and the hard work they do every day!

Have a great weekend.

Go Irish!
