Principal's Message
Greetings Bear Creek Families-
I hope everyone took time to honor the veterans and active service members in your lives this weekend. We have all benefitted from their sacrifice and service to protect our freedoms.
I wish to express my gratitude to all of you in our Bear Creek community who have served or are actively serving in the Armed Forces.

For all of us using social media, please use the STEP process before interacting on any social media.

Tardy Sweeps
What a Tardy Sweep Entails
A tardy sweep can be identified on any given day by music that will be played during the 2-minute warning bell.
At the end of the 2-minute song, teachers shuts & locks their door, not allowing any student entry.
The students who are not in class will be ushered to a common area where they will be given information to attend an after school detention in the cafeteria.
Once this has been completed, the office will make an all-clear announcement and at this time, teachers may let in students with the designated colored pass.
Students can now nominate the song to be play by using one of their bruin bucks in the counseling office.
The Pacific Summer High School Institute is a two-week residential pre-college summer program designed for curious high school students to live, learn and grow at one of America’s top universities. During the two-week program, summer institute students will become immersed in cutting-edge topics and issues through learning environments focused on real-world, hands-on experiences in our labs, studios, fields and makerspaces.
For eligible Lodi Unified School District students, the Pacific Summer High School Institute tuition is 100% sponsored by the school district and registration is free for the families, as outlined below.
Step 1: Fill out the pre-registration form with your details. Please make sure to double-check your school ID. (This initial step is to verify your eligibility and in step 3, you will need to actually register into the summer institute and select a program and session.)
Step 2: Lodi Unified School District will check your eligibility for free registration into the program. Please note that it will take several days, up to a few weeks, to verify your eligibility (enrolled in Lodi USD; attendance, behavior, and academic patterns). Once your eligibility is verified, your parents will receive an email notification to register. (If you haven't received an email after a couple of weeks, please check your spam folder.)
Step 3: You can register into the program of your choice on the main Pacific Summer High School Institute enrollment portal. First, your parents need to create a family account and then register you into one of the Summer Institute programs. Please note that some programs are offered in Session 1 (June 3–13), some in Session 2 (June 18–28) and the school district funds one session per student. Make sure to select the Lodi USD Sponsored tuition option and put your school ID into the registration code on the check-out page. Please do not select the “Full Price” tuition as then your registration would be cancelled and you would have to register again.
