FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL:

August 12th is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

* ONLY Kindergarten parents may walk students into the building to class the first day AFTER all other students have been dropped of for the school day before 7:45. Thank you for your understanding. Kindergarten parents, PLEASE DO NOT COME EARLY or you won't find a parking spot! And we ask that you keep your drop off to 5 minutes. Thank you! Here is the stagger schedule for Kindergarten Parent Walk-Ins on August 12th!

  • 8:05 Dunaway

  • 8:10 Henderson, Klein

  • 8:15 Murray, Randell

  • 8:20 Reed, Weddle, Whitmire

* School starts at 7:45. Please make every effort to have your child to school on time. We know the first day will be slower, but we appreciate you being on time.

* Please allow for EXTRA time at drop off and pick up since our students will be learning the drop off and dismissal routines, and SAFETY is priority, so we will take extra measures to be sure all students are loading the correct bus and getting in the correct car at the end of the day. We appreciate your PATIENCE!

Your child's safety is TOP PRIORITY!

PARENT DROP OFF:

* Kindergarten and 1st Grade will be dropped off by 7:45 at the FRONT of the building. FORM TWO LANES. We CANNOT unbuckle or buckle students for safety reasons, so if your child cannot do this independently and quickly, please park and walk them to a staff member at the crosswalk.

* 2nd and 3rd Grade will be dropped off by 7:45 at the BACK of the building (Due to staff needing to start class at 7:45, there will be nobody to monitor late-comers, so the doors will close at 7:45 and those arriving late may swing around and drop off at the front.) FORM ONE LANE to allow for students independently exiting the car. PLEASE help traffic flow by reminding your child to hop out of the car QUICKLY! If your child struggles to get out of the car quickly, please drive into the parking lot and have them walk into the building using the crosswalk when staff says it's safe.

* Multi-Sibling families may choose to drop off at front OR back by 7:45.

PARENT PICK UP: (WEE Car Tag is REQUIRED! Please display on rearview mirror.)

* Kindergarten ONLY will be picked up in the front of the building. FORM TWO LANES. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ARRIVE EARLY AND PARK IN THE DRIVE -- OUR FRONT DRIVE IS FOR BUSES ONLY UNTIL 3:07. Please use this staggered schedule for kindergarten pick up to ease the flow of traffic:

3:07 Dunaway

3:10 Henderson, Klein

3:12 Murray, Randell

3:15 Reed, Weddle, Whitmire

* 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade will be picked up in the back of the building. FORM TWO LANES.

* Siblings will be connected and will be picked up in the back of the building. FORM TWO LANES.

BUS TRANSPORTATION:

Your child will need to walk to and from his or her bus stop as there will be fewer stopping points this year! Check here for your child's bus number, pick up and drop off locations and times (Check this right before Meet the Teacher since they are still working on it now.): https://www.wyliebulldogs.org/page/transportation

Buses will roll from our front drive starting at 3:07.

TRANSPORTATION CHANGES: ANY changes to your child's transportation must be made by calling the front office by 2:30. NO changes may be made after that time in order to avoid confusion which could lead to an unsafe situation. Please do not just message the teacher about a change since there may be a substitute, or the teacher may not have time to check messages during the instructional day.

Meal Information:

* Money for meals may be entered on Skyward.

* If you need a free or reduced meal application please visit the Wylie website or contact Kristi Landeros at kristi.landeros@wyliebulldogs.org

* A hot tray and cold sack option are offered for breakfast and lunch each day.

* Students are welcome to bring a sack lunch from home (no microwaves are available, so keep that in mind as you pack lunches).

* While we are not a peanut-free campus, all cafeteria prepared meals are peanut-free and some classrooms will be peanut-free classrooms, so please try to avoid sending peanut butter in lunches or snacks to help support our students with peanut allergies.

* We will not allow lunch visitors until SEPTEMBER 8th, so our students can learn how to navigate the lunch routines and expectations.
