Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed your Summer break! Here are some important notes as we begin a new school year:
Washing your hands is the most effective way to prevent the spread of back-to-school germs!
6th grade students must submit a current health exam and proof of immunizations by October 15th in order to avoid school exclusion per Illinois State Board of Education school code. Thank you to those who have turned them in already!
Annual physicals (sports or standard) are required for student athletes. They are to be updated annually as they are valid for 365 days. Sports physicals should be submitted to the athletic department.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be at HMS/Graves 9/30. Call the office for more information!
Please talk to your children about not sharing food at lunch in order to protect students with food allergies.
- When you send your student to school, you are attesting that your student is in good health and ready for learning. Follow these guidelines on when to return to school for our top three symptoms of illness:
-Fever (100.0 or higher): The student may return to school after being fever free 24hrs without fever reducing medication.
-Vomit: The student may return to school after being free of vomiting for 24hrs.
-Diarrhea: The student may return to school after being free of diarrhea for 24hrs.
Student Drop Off/Pick Up Line
It is extremely important that you follow this flow of traffic so that we keep all students safe. Please pull all the way ahead, and allow your child to walk back to their door.
Uniforms
UNIFORM AND GRADE LEVEL SHIRTS CAN BE PURCHASED IN THE HMS OFFICE.
ON FRIDAYS, STUDENTS MAY WEAR SCHOOL APPROPRIATE JEANS (NO RIPS/TEARS THAT SHOW SKIN).
HOODIES
PER OUR STUDENT HANDBOOK, "NO HOODIES MAY BE WORN EXCEPT FOR RECOGNIZED SCHOOL SPIRIT WEAR."
STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE ORDER FORMS FOR SPIRIT WEAR HOODIES AND SWEATSHIRTS IN THE COMING WEEKS.
