IMPORTANT UPDATE - Monsarratt Avenue Water System Improvements

Aloha Waikiki School Ohana,

This is an important update regarding the Honolulu Board of Water Supply's water main project on Monsarrat Avenue.

Construction is now impacting the intersection of Monsarrat Avenue and Leahi Avenue. To ensure everyone's safety and to help with traffic flow, please be aware of the following changes during school hours:

  • You will not be able to make a left turn onto Leahi Avenue from Monsarrat Avenue.

  • You will not be able to go straight through the intersection while on Leahi Avenue.

Updated Information: I spoke with the construction crew this morning, and they will try their best to clear the intersection by 1:45 p.m. today. However, please be prepared for the possibility that the intersection may not be fully open at that time.

To get to school, please take the following detour:

  1. Make a left turn on Paki Avenue.

  2. Then, turn left onto Noela Street.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as the city works on these important infrastructure improvements. Mahalo for your cooperation in keeping our community safe.

Sincerely,

Mr. Kusuda
