RPS Superintendent's Update

Dear RPS Community,

I hope that each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was able to enjoy some time with family and friends. As our middle and high school students settle into the second term, and our elementary students enter their last week of the first trimester, the school year is in full swing with students engaged in a wide variety of learning experiences, extra curricular activities and athletic events. The best part of my day is when I get to visit classrooms and observe our students and teachers engaged in meaningful, authentic learning. RPS educators have been actively involved in a variety of professional development activities connected to our 3 PD Themes/Priority Areas: (1) Developing an Equity Mindset, (2) Inclusive Practices, and (3) Literacy for All. Additionally, they are consistently updating lessons, units, and learning experiences in an effort to best meet the needs of their current students. I continue to be thankful for and proud of the fantastic students and staff of RPS.
