Updating ParentSquare Contact Information
Is your ParentSquare contact information up to date?
To ensure announcements and updates are received, the District asks caregivers to make sure information within the student information database, SchoolTool, is accurate and up to date. SchoolTool data is used to populate contact lists in ParentSquare.
The primary contact in SchoolTool is determined by the home residence of the student. The District also maintains emergency contacts, which can include multiple contacts and may be utilized when the primary contact is unreachable.
SECTION: Need to Know
This section is dedicated to information families need to know, but there is no action required.
Palmyra-Macedon Water Quality Report
The Public Health Law and New York State Health Department (NYSDOH) regulations require that all public schools test lead levels in water from every outlet that is being used, or could potentially be used, for drinking or cooking. If lead is found at any water outlet at levels above 5 parts per billion (ppb), which is equal to 5 micrograms per liter (µg/L), the NYSDOH requires that the school take action to reduce the exposure to lead.
Lead testing was conducted in the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District in November 2025, and lab results were returned on December 18, 2025. Results have been posted on the Facilities page of the school district's website.
All drinking fountains and bottle fillers had results below the actionable threshold.
Water outlets with lead levels above the action level have either been disconnected, turned off, or posted with signage indicating that the outlet can still be used for cleaning and handwashing only. Outlets that required no action have remained in service with no restrictions.
Reminder: Pal-Mac Caring Cupboard Available for Families In Need
This is a reminder the school-based food pantry, the Pal-Mac Caring Cupboard, is available to any family with children enrolled in the school district who may need assistance.
This is made possible through the generous support of Foodlink, Wayne County Community Schools, and community donations.
The pantry is located at the High School. Click here to learn more.
Distraction-Free Learning at Pal-Mac
Pal-Mac enacted its distraction-free learning policy with the start of 2025-2026 school year. This means the use of all Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) are prohibited from the first bell of the school day to the last.
The policy includes during lunch, passing time, bathroom breaks, field trips, and any time on school property during the day.
PEDS include, but are not limited to cell phones, fitness trackers, headphones, earbuds, e-readers, calculators, voice recorders, cameras, Smart Watches, and music devices.
To assist students and families with the change, the District created a series of web pages dedicated to everything from the policy to helpful resources and ad campaigns.
The clickable link to the page is above, but you can also click here, or the image above to visit it.

For our middle school NJHS, Student Leadership, and Student Council reps, the trip "sparked" great conversations about how to build a stronger, more inclusive school community. And they wasted no time putting one of their takeaways into action: Monday Morning Greetings! Students greeted classmates and staff at the doors to kick off the week with positivity, and they’re hoping to make it a weekly tradition.
