Principal's Weekly Update
Week of December 16-20
Administrator's Message 🐾
Wildcat Families,
We need your support with ski masks. They are not allowed on campus. Please do not let your student come to school with a ski mask/gator mask. We will be confiscating ski masks/gators and parents will need to pick them up.
All semester grades will be final and posted in Aeries by Monday, December 23rd. There will be some class schedule changes done for second semester. Students and parents of students with schedule changes will receive email notifications with the updated class schedule prior to our return on January 6th.
When we return from break, students will be taking the MAP winter assessments in their math and English classes. This information is used to place students appropriately in classes in middle school and beyond. We ask that you encourage your child to do their best!
Please read the entire newsletter for important updates!

Celebrating Our Community’s Diversity
The cities of Fairfield and Suisun City are two of the most diverse communities in California. To honor that diversity, each week FSUSD will be sharing information about the cultures that make up our extra special learning community.
Many cultural celebrations take place during the month of December.
- Christmas is a Christian festival celebrating Christ’s birth. For others, Christmas holds a different meaning in that it is a special season filled with the spirit of love and generosity.
- Hanukkah is a Jewish festival that reaffirms the ideals of Judaism and commemorates, in particular, the rededication of the Second Temple of Jerusalem by the lighting of candles on each day of the festival.
- Kwanzaa is a weeklong celebration held in the United States that honors African heritage in African-American culture. Kwanzaa is observed from December 26th to January 1st, and culminates in gift-giving and a big feast. The holiday is relatively new, compared to other holidays celebrated in the U.S.
- Winter Solstice (also known as Yule) is one of the oldest winter celebrations in the world. The celebration of Winter Solstice takes place on the shortest day and longest night of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, it takes place on December 21, 2024.
