School Arrival
School doors open at 7:05
Instruction starts at 7:35.
Tardy Bell rings at 7:35. If your child is late, they miss out on important material and get behind. Let's start strong!
Breakfast ends at 7:45. It is encouraged to have your student at school in time to get a healthy breakfast and are ready to learn.
If your student is eating breakfast at home, it is encouraged to have them finish any outside drinks before they enter the building.
To keep the traffic flowing, Do Not Stop in the drive. If you need to STOP you should PARK in the parking lot. For student safety, students should cross WITH an adult.
School Dismissal
Dismissal Bell: 2:50
If your student is a car rider, please make sure you stay in your car and move all the way up the school drive way so that we do not hinder traffic on Parmer Lane.
If you want to walk up and pick up your student, you MUST PARK your vehicle in the parking lot, cross at the cross walk, and pick up your student. For student safety, students will not be allowed to cross without an adult.
Thank you in advance for being PATIENT the first few weeks of school and showing grace to everyone, we all want to get home safely!
Remember to NOT park in HANDICAP spots if you do not have a HANDICAP sticker or licence plates. Tickets ($500) can be mailed if cars are found to be parked illegally.
Please contact the office prior to 2:00pm if you need to change your child’s method of going home. No changes will be made after 2:00 pm to ensure safety of our students. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Parents are welcomed into the cafeteria beginning September 3. If you will be joing your student at lunch please note the following guidelines.
- Parents should only bring food for their student.
- Students are not allowed to bring over their friends to eat.
- For student safety & confidentiality, we ask to keep your cell phones put away
School Lunches
Please talk to your students about brining a lunch and ALSO getting a school lunch. We have noticed LOTS of uneaten personal lunch items being thrown away. We suggest that they either eat their personal lunch or a cafeteria lunch, and not both.

ATTENDANCE
ATTENDANCE MATTERS ALL DAY, EVERYDAY
Regular and punctual school attendance is essential for school success. Attendance increases student achievement and improves the quality of their educational experience. It prepares them for college, good careers, and successful adulthood. Texas Compulsory Attendance Law requires students to attend school regularly, unless otherwise exempted by law. It is the responsibility of the parent and student to cooperate and communicate with the school on all attendance matters.

School Emergency Drills
We train our staff and students in the Standard Response Protocols (SRP); Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter, and Hold. These five simple procedures give our staff and students the tools they need to properly initiate emergency response actions for any emergency that may occur on a campus.
These SRP's are practiced regularly each school year at all campuses in the form of drills. State law actually dictates that number of times each semester each drill has to be practiced. In addition to the SRP Drills, we also have Fire Drills, Severe Weather Drills, and Evacuation Drills. All drills are reported by each of the campus administrators to the Pflugerville Fire Department and the PfISD Office of Safety and Emergency Management within 48 hours of the drill.
Each of our SRP's are listed below along with a brief description of the protocol. You can click on the icon of each SRP for more detailed information on each protocol.

Volunteer Opportunities at PLES
Pflugerville ISD welcomes partnerships between parents, businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to share their time, talent, and resources to enrich the lives of students.
Our schools are stronger when people with diverse backgrounds, skills and passions work together to passionately serve the best interests of our students. If your passion has led you to PfISD, we have a place for you. Below you will learn about all the different ways you can get involved.
