Principal's Message

We are all excited to close the book on 2025 and look forward to 2026. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a safe holiday break. As we return and get closer to the end of the second marking period, it's crucial students stay focused and on top of their academics. We encourage any student needing extra help to take advantage of the N.E.S.T.. Winter Wellness Tips:

  • Stay hydrated. Winter weather dehydrates you. Drink plenty of water, warm herbal teas, and soups.

  • Eat the rainbow. Focus on fruits and vegetables to boost immunity.

  • Move it! Indoor exercise and stretching breaks are great for energy and mood.

  • Moisturize. Use lotion after bathing and apply Chapstick to prevent dry, cracked skin and lips.

  • Encouraging habits. Good handwashing, cover your cough/sneezes, limit screen time, support healthy sleeping schedules, de-stress, and stay connected.

We want to keep the cost of this trip to no more than $75 per student!!! Thanks for all you do to support our class!!!!

Safe2Say

Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. With Safe2Say Something, it’s easy and confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies.

Here’s how it works:

  • Submit an anonymous tip report through the Safe2SaySomething system
  • Crisis center reviews, assesses and processes all submissions
  • Crisis center sends all submissions to school administration and/or law enforcement for intervention
  • If needed, crisis center may contact tipster anonymously through the app

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

https://988lifeline.org/

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and is now active across the United States.

When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.

The previous Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis.

The Lifeline’s network of over 200 crisis centers has been in operation since 2005, and has been proven to be effective. It’s the counselors at these local crisis centers who answer the contacts the Lifeline receives every day. Numerous studies have shown that callers feel less suicidal, less depressed, less overwhelmed and more hopeful after speaking with a Lifeline counselor.
