Valley Heights Elementary Schools
Week of September 18th-22nd
Waterville Elementary
What's Happening in Waterville!
The week of September 18th-22nd should be a calm week with not too many activities scheduled for our building. However, please note the following week will be busy with no school on Monday, September 25th, and Homecoming events the remainder of the week. Please see the following details on Homecoming so you can begin planning ahead.
Homecoming: We will invite students to participate in dress up days the week of Tuesday, September 26th-29th. We will also attend the Homecoming parade in Waterville on Friday, September 29th. Please note, preschool and kinder prep students do not attend the parade. If you would like to sign your child out to attend the parade, you may. Kindergarten-2nd graders will walk to the parade and walk back to the grade school for dismissal unless you sign them out.
Preschool/Kinder Prep/Kindergarten Reminder: Complete the ASQ if you have not done so! You will complete both the ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2. Click here to access.
Weather: The weather is cooling down! Students may wish to start their day with a sweater and put it back in their backpack as the day warms.
Donation Request: Several of our students enjoy playing with Tonka trucks, diggers, excavators, etc. in the sand at recess but we do not have many of this type of toy. If you have any toys you would like to donate to our building we would gladly accept.

Positive Office Referrals
Value Honor Success
Each day in the elementary schools, we teach our students how to have purposeful interactions and goals. We believe that having a common purpose will promote the academic and social emotional well-being of each student. We teach students the VHS model.
To celebrate students accomplishing these things, we have created positive office referrals, with VHS tickets. Teachers and staff hand out VHS tickets when they see a student doing the right thing. Here are some pictures of students receiving their VHS tickets!
