Track

Congratulations to our Jr. high track team members. They competed at the divisional meet last week and nine of the twelve athletes moved on to regionals.

At regionals we had 5 firsts, 4 seconds, and 3 third place finishes. Of special note, our girls 4 x 400m relay team moved up a spot from the first meet and placed 2nd only to Camrose Composite who are all grade 9’s.

Congratulations, also, to our Sr. high team, who competed at the zone meet last week. Of special note, Sam A. has qualified for provincials in both the triple jump and high jump which takes place in Calgary this weekend. Good luck!

Well done all!

We try to minimize the number of phone calls that go home.

  • If you notice a call from the school PLEASE CHECK YOUR VOICE MESSAGES BEFORE CALLING THE SCHOOL
  • If you receive a call between 9:20 and 9:30 in the morning, it is likely an Unexcused Absence call from the office. Please ensure you report your child's absences

Automated Attendance Calls Automated Attendance Calls

Please note that our automated attendance calls go out at 9:25am daily. If your child is not at school and we have not heard from a parent/guardian, you will AUTOMATICALLY receive the call indicating that your child/student is not at school.

On days that buses are cancelled, please be advised that attendance typically takes longer and calls are likely to go out before we have gotten through all voicemails, emails, and phone calls. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

If your child has an appointment or is sick, please call to let us know, otherwise they will be marked as absent (unexcused). We mark attendance as PARENT CALL when they're away with permission and ILLNESS when they're home sick.

REGARDLESS of the reason ALL students MUST sign-in when they arrive after morning O Canada and MUST sign-out if they're leaving the building (this excludes if they're leaving to go for lunch and intend on coming back - NO sign-out/sign-in is required for lunch).
