From the Principal, Stefi Slewitzke
Dear Families,
Thank you to every family and business who has donated to the Husky Fund so far! Congratulations to Ms. Bruce’s class, who received Hero’s Husky Chain and an ice cream party for raising the most money during Week 1. Ms. Satori’s Kindergarten class came in 2nd, followed by Ms. Gross’ 3rd grade class.
Congratulations also to kindergarten for having the highest percentage of families donate during Week 1! They earned the treat of watching Mrs. Santos receive a pie in the face at lunch today!
I also want to extend a special thank you to our S.H.E. team. An incredible 75% of our teachers and staff have contributed to the Husky Fund campaign so far. I am so grateful for a team that gives so much of themselves to our wonderful students.
We hope many of our SHE families will join us for STEAM Night Tuesday evening from 4:30-6:30 pm.

PTO Update: Husky Fund
The Husky Fund keeps climbing! As of Thursday morning, our S.H.E. community raised over $135,000 toward our $200,000 goal! We are less than $15,000 from earning a P.J. day for the whole school next week!
If you haven’t given yet, now is the time! There are only 7 DAYS LEFT until the campaign ends. The total amount raised is lagging behind where we stood last year at this point. And, since this year’s campaign is 1 week shorter than before, it’s time to get those final donations in!
S.H.E. staff has shown up in a big way, with 75% participation! Now it’s our families’ turn to show our school just as much love. We’re currently at 36% family participation, so let’s close that gap, keep the momentum going and get Hero’s cart all the way to checkout!
Thanks to everyone who has already donated, Hero’s cart is filling up with the programs, experiences and resources the Husky Fund makes possible all year long. But there’s still more on his wish list.
Check out the items on Hero’s wish list and follow the PTO on Instagram and Facebook for the latest Husky Fund updates.

Meet Our New School Liaison Officer: Officer Dennis Pishock
Summit Hill is excited to welcome Officer Pishock as our School Liaison Officer (SLO).
Originally from Pennsylvania, Officer Pishock has called Georgia home for the past 30 years. He and his wife have been happily married for 27 years and are proud parents of two children.
Officer Pishock brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving others. His career has been dedicated to public service, including 25 years as a medic, 18 years as a firefighter, and 7½ years in law enforcement. He has been with Milton Police Department for the past 2½ years and began his journey as a SLO one year ago.
At Summit Hill, Officer Pishock's primary role is ensuring student safety. Students may see him walking the campus perimeter, chatting with students between classes, sharing lunch in the cafeteria, or visiting classrooms to read. By being present and building meaningful relationships throughout the school day, Officer Pishock helps create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
His passion for helping people extends beyond the bell. In addition to his role as an SLO, Officer Pishock serves as a Peer Support Coordinator, assisting law enforcement officers and their families as they navigate life's challenges.
Please join us in welcoming Officer Pishock to Summit Hill!

The late bell rings at 7:40. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time. Please email the school data clerk/ attendance email and copy your child’s teacher when your child is absent.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in ensuring the success of your child's education. For more information on FCS attendance policies please visit the FCS Attendance Matters Website If you have any questions or concerns regarding your student’s attendance, please don’t hesitate to reach out, Randi Downey, LCSW 470-317-8530, downeyr@fultonschools.org.
