L.M.E.A All state Concert Band

• Students will do a recorded 1st round audition with the F.K White band directors between October 17th-31st. If they progress to the 2nd round, I will share a link to pay the $15.00 audition fee. This fee will be paid at the beginning of November.

With beginner band, we started playing our first note this week! To assure we are on the right pitch, we encourage students to use this free website: https://www.bandmatetuner.com/

In band, we use an app called TE Tuner (Tonal Energy). This is a metronome & tuner that is VERY helpful during at-home practice.

We always encourage students to practice with a metronome at home. It helps develop healthy practice habits and builds their internal sense of pulse. We use this often in class and sectionals. The cost is $4.99, and it is well worth it in the long run!

Students will receive the scale challenge project in class this week! We will be working over the next 8 weeks to meet our fall objective of passing off our scales. The due date for completion of this challenge will be Friday November 20th.
