Husky Howl
October 20, 2025
Huskies,
It was another wonderful week at Huffines. A few highlights include:
• Our 8th graders touring the Technology Exploration and Career Centers, learning about future pathways and getting hands-on experience with high-tech tools and programs.
• A tremendous Harvest Festival that brought our students, staff, and families together for an evening of fun and community. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. From games and music to face painting, food, and festive activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The laughter, smiles, and sense of togetherness made the night truly special.
• A special thank you to Southern Gentlemen Catering for the delicious food and to our PTA for the donations, time, and volunteers who made the night possible.
• We are proud to celebrate several of our student musicians who were selected for the LISD District Band. Their hard work, talent, and dedication to their craft continue to make us Husky proud.
YOU CAN’T HIDE THAT HUSKY PRIDE!

In the past, many have used this contest as a class assignment, extra credit, or club projects. Feel free to display these posters around your campus.
Please note the 2025-2026 student submission requirements. Please follow these steps when preparing your contest entries:
Write or attach student name, school, and grade level on the art or essay.

Counselors Corner
In Lewisville ISD, the whole child is at the core of everything we do as a district, including our students' mental, emotional and physical health. With counselors on every campus, LISD knows parents want their children to receive an outstanding education, but more importantly, they want their children to be nurtured and cared for beyond just academics.
LISD provides families with resources to ensure each child receives the support they need to develop every aspect of their being.
Please see the topics and linked resources below:
Should you need more information on the above topics or are in need of support for your child in a different area, please reach out to your counselor.
