Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
Looking back at October, there are a lot of highlights. We kicked off the month with our first-ever Community Partners Breakfast. This event highlighted the amazing ways our students are involved in the community and the opportunities for businesses and organizations to partner with Loveland City Schools.
During the event, teachers discussed ways for community members to speak to classes about their careers, and our Loveland Tiger Pathways program was front and center, highlighting internship and job shadowing opportunities. The Community Partners Breakfast was an idea that came from our Community Advisory Team meetings last year. After that group of volunteers learned about some of the great programs in our district, they challenged us to let more people know about them! The Community Partners Breakfast was a great way to accomplish that. Thank you to everyone who attended, including Loveland Mayor Kathy Bailey, US Congressman Dave Taylor, State Representative Karen Brownlee, Loveland Councilmen Neal Oury and John Hart, and Clermont County Commissioner Claire Corcoran.
During October, the Loveland Schools Foundation delivered more than $15,000 in grants to our staff members. Check out some of the photos below - and thank you to everyone who supports the Loveland Schools Foundation so they can support our students! Learn more at lovelandschoolsfoundation.org.
Another highlight from October was our School Finance Town Hall. Treasurer John Espy did a great job delivering information about district finances to our community. We appreciate everyone who attended. John will have more about the Town Hall in his message below.

Treasurer’s Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Finance Town Hall on October 30, 2025. I was able to provide a detailed look at the district's financial health, how school finance ties to our strategic vision, and current and future funding challenges. I also very much appreciated the opportunity to listen to community members and answer questions. Our financial planning is driven by our strategic goal for Fiscal Responsibility that states, "Loveland City School District supports students' evolving educational and facilities needs in a fiscally responsible manner." Having been a part of the LCS Strategic Planning Committee as a Loveland Citizen in 2021, I take great pride and care in making sure that the district is following the financial guiding goals developed by our community.
We encourage all community members to stay engaged with our financial transparency and cost savings efforts, including checking out the Treasurer's Office section of the district website and the Ohio Checkbook page. To learn more, please see the following links:
Finance Friday: Ohio Checkbook - this details a process that the district utilizes to place all expenditure data, down to the vendor, account code, and amount; that is updated monthly during our month end reconciliation procedures.
Finance Friday: Cost Savings Measures - this details cost avoidance and cost savings measures that are positively impacting our current budget.
Treasurer’s Webpage - documents such as monthly financial reports, five year forecasts, and bid information is available here for the public to review.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at espyjo@lovelandschools.org.
As we move into November, I wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
Go Tigers!
John Espy
Staff Receive Loveland Schools Foundation Grants
Last month, the Loveland Schools Foundation visited every building in the district to deliver staff grants. Staff members who applied for grants could receive up to $500 for classroom supplies and other items they need. About $15,000 worth of furniture, books, and learning materials are being provided to Loveland students, thanks to the generosity of our Loveland community.
Thank you to the Loveland Schools Foundation and its donors for more than 25 years of supporting our district. If you are interested in learning more about the Foundation or donating to support future projects, visit their website at lovelandschoolsfoundation.org.
Celebrating Exploration Wednesday at Loveland High School
Loveland High School held Exploration Wednesday last month, when every student took time to focus on their future. Depending on their grade, students had a variety of opportunities. They could attend a job fair, take a career assessment, volunteer in the community, job shadow, or go on a college visit. One of the goals of our #beLOVEland strategic vision is to prepare students for the many pathways to success, through enlistment, enrollment, or employment. Exploration Wednesday is one of the ways we keep that commitment to student success.
