CIS Weekly Updates

We are looking forward to our upcoming parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, October 8th! Students will have the day off so our teaching staff can focus entirely on connecting with you. These meetings are a great chance to highlight your child's progress, celebrate their achievements, and build a strong partnership for the year ahead. *There is no school for students on Friday, October 9th, due to NEOEA Day.

Hard to believe, but we are already down to the final two weeks of the quarter! With the quarter ending on Friday, October 16th, now is a great time to check in on your student's progress and help them stay focused as they wrap up their classes.

Unity Day is coming up on Wednesday, October 21st! We invite all students and staff to wear orange to promote kindness, inclusion, and anti-bullying in our school community. Students will also attend a presentation by a guest speaker who will share a powerful message on resilience and unity. Let’s stand together to show that everyone belongs!

Our Read-A-Thon was a HUGE success! Together, our Grizzlies raised an incredible $16,429.06!

That means we officially earned our schoolwide PJ Day!

PJ DAY IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16TH!

Students can come to school in their favorite pajamas and celebrate all the reading, hard work, and fundraising that made this possible!

A HUGE thank you to all of our WIS students, families, teachers, and supporters who helped make this Read-A-Thon such a success. We are so proud of our Grizzlies! Now let's celebrate in our PJs!

Whether students are cruising down the street or riding off-road, it is essential to stay up to date on Ohio and Wadsworth e-bike regulations. While Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes (under 20 mph) have no statewide minimum age and are generally allowed on shared-use paths, Class 3 e-bikes (up to 28 mph) require riders to be at least 16 years old, wear helmets, and stick primarily to roads and bike lanes. All e-bikes are permitted on public roads provided you follow standard traffic laws, but remember that electric motor assistance is never allowed on sidewalks.

Below is a calendar that shows our five-day rotation for encores. Students should know what encore (PE, Music/Band, Technology, Art, or Library) they have each day, so this calendar is to help families plan.
