Cap & Gown

Jostens was on campus in February to deliver orders that were placed before the February 18th deadline. We still have several orders that have not been picked up in the front office.

If you have not ordered your graduation announcements and or cap and gown, please click here to place your order. All orders after Senior Event Delivery will incur an individual shipping charge and will be sent directly to your home address. Individual reminders have been delivered to those who have not ordered. Email reminders will also be sent home.

The only items required for graduation are a gown, cap, stole, and tassel. While it is possible to borrow a cap & gown, please remember both the stole and tassel have the year on them. Also, gowns are fitted by height and weight. Items can be ordered individually on the Jostens website.

If you have any questions, please call the Jostens office at 214-383-9502. If you need assistance with your cap & gown, please stop by the front office.

Graduation Practice *Required for All Seniors!

On Wednesday, May 15th, all graduating seniors will be required to attend our Graduation Practice from 4:30 - 6:00 at LTHS. Graduation packets, including tickets and honor cords, will be handed out during this time.

Graduation Ceremony Logistics and Details

Getting There

Due to multiple graduations and limited parking available at the STAR, all students are required to take the bus from Lebanon Trail High School to the Ford Center.

Students will need to arrive at Lebanon Trail HS by 6:30 to board the buses. Students will enter the Ford Center through the north side loading dock gate.

Students will NOT ride the bus after graduation but will leave the Ford Center with their families.

Families may arrive at the Ford Center as early as 1 hour before the ceremony. Parents should enter through Tostito Plaza (unless they need the ADA entrance for a family member)..

The Ford Center bag policy and general rules can be found by clicking this link. In addition, families will not be able to bring flowers, signs, bullhorns, or tripods for cameras into graduation.

Seating

The graduation ceremony is an open-seating event. Students and families are encouraged to communicate with each other ahead of time which side of the stage the student will sit in (Side A (blue) or Side B (yellow)). See diagram.

Students will be seated on the field during the ceremony. Students will NOT be graduating in alphabetical order. They will be graduating in the order they arrive. Graduates will be allowed to carry their cell phones in order to text a parent when they are about to be announced and walk the stage.

Tickets

Each student will receive 12 tickets. Tickets will be picked up at the graduation practice on Wednesday, May 15th. No extra tickets will be provided. Each individual MUST have a ticket to attend. There will NOT be a system established by the campus for extra tickets. You are welcome to share tickets among other families.

Dress code

Caps & gowns were delivered February 26. Students need to be dressed in caps, gowns, their LTHS Stole & Tassel. They may wear any cords, stoles for regalia that was earned through LTHS or Frisco ISD. Tassels start on the right side of the cap.

Dress code for graduation is simply to wear nice clothes under the graduation gown (no jeans or t-shirts). There will be a floor down on top of the artificial turf this year, so heels and wedges may be ok, but stiletto style shoes are Not recommended due to the possibility of getting stuck in the small spaces between the flooring. Flats and dress shoes are highly recommended (really anything flat will be allowed besides tennis shoes).

Do not write or draw on your graduation cap! This is a FISD rule.

If you have already done so you will need to request a new one from Jostens.

If you have any questions, you can call the Jostens office at 214-383-9502. You can also reach out to our Campus Secretary, Stacy Springer at springes@friscoisd.org.

Behavior Expectations

All students are expected to act in accordance with the student code of conduct. Failure to do so may result in removal from the graduation ceremony.

There will not be anywhere to leave purses or accessories at The Ford Center, so graduates will need to leave all personal items with family, at home, or in the car. Students will be allowed to have their cellphones.

Parents, please remember when celebrating your graduate’s recognition or name being called that any extended celebration may prevent the parents of the next graduate from hearing the name of their graduate. Thank you in advance for being courteous and respectful to all graduates and their families.

Dismissal Protocol & Diploma Pick up

Students will sign for AND receive their actual diplomas at the conclusion of the graduation ceremony. After students pick up their diploma, they will ride up the escalator and meet their families on the turf field at the entrance of the Ford Center.

Pro Tip: Pick a location in front of the large jumbotron screen to meet up.

Live Streaming

This will be available for home watch parties. More information will be made available and posted on the FISD Graduation Website in early May.

Senior Prank & Senior ‘Skip Day’

Senior Pranks are NOT allowed and cannot and will not be sanctioned by the Campus or District. Any involvement in a senior prank will come with stiff consequences.

Senior Surveys

FISD Senior Survey

Seniors should complete this survey once they have decided on their plans for next year. If they earned any scholarships, they should have the exact name and award amount handy. This information is simply used to calculate the total dollar amounts awarded to the Class of 2024. It will not be tied to the student in any published information.

  • You will receive an email from Mrs. Hampton with a date and time to return your Chromebook to the library. Please make sure you hand it to Ms. Hampton or Gobeli so they can issue you a receipt.

  • If your Chromebook and/or charger is not returned, you will be added to the Hold List until the replacement fee is paid or the item is located and turned in.

  • AP Exams - Seniors who need to keep their Chromebook past their scheduled return time must email Ms. Hampton to let her know they plan on keeping it.
