The Longest Stretch — and Why It Still Matters
March is shaping up to be an exciting month at school! We’re looking forward to our upcoming Walkathon, where students will come together to support our school while staying active and showing their Comet spirit. If we reach our school fundraising goal, there may even be a special surprise involving me! —Students will definitely want to help us get there to see what happens! 🎉
We’re also entering state testing season, which allows students to show what they’ve learned this year. While test scores do matter, we know our students are so much more than a number on a test. Every day, we see learning, growth, perseverance, and problem-solving happening in our classrooms. Those moments of progress and confidence are just as important, and we are proud of the hard work our students continue to show.
In addition to all of this, students also have some exciting field trips coming up, giving them opportunities to explore, learn, and make lasting memories outside the classroom. It’s going to be a busy and fun month as our Comets continue to grow, learn, and rise to every challenge! 🚀

Counselor's Corner
Hi Families,
This month in counseling, students will learn about careers while exploring their strengths, interests, and future possibilities. Fourth and fifth graders will also attend a Career Fair, where community members will share about their careers through short, interactive presentations.
At-Home Career Conversations
Families can support learning by talking with your child about what they enjoy, sharing about your own job, and noticing community helpers in everyday life. Ask questions like: What are you good at? What do you love to do? What is important to you? It’s also helpful to focus on the kind of person they want to become, not just the job they might have.
This month is all about curiosity, confidence, and exploration—not choosing a career yet!
