The event is from 6pm - 7pm in the Activity Center, this is a family event and everyone is welcome to attend.

This Sunday, February 15th the Hewes PTA will launch a silent auction to support 8th grade activities. The fundraiser will run through February 22nd and details can be found in this newsletter. On Tuesday, please support the Hewes PTA by dining out at Ruby's from 11am - 8:30pm, the flyer for this event is also in this newsletter. Highlander for a Day is a recognition program at Hewes Middle School that celebrates students for incredible moments of Winning the Day the Highlander Way. Students are recognized for working hard, including others, never giving up, controlling their responses, choosing to act above the line, and taking extreme ownership of their 20 square feet. These are the habits and mindsets that shape our Highlander culture, and we are so proud to share them with our entire school community.

Hewes PTA will be having International Week Activities at lunch March 16-20. Help us teach the kids about a variety of cultures, maybe even yours. Please come out and help make the event enjoyable for all students. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, we need volunteer help with pre-planned cultural activities. Wednesday, there will be a performance during double assembly. If you have any leads on performers or internationa ideas, please contact PTA. And on Friday, March 20 we will have parent sponsored information booths from different countries. In the past we have had a variety of countries and would like to have more this year. If you are able to host or help with a booth, please sign up. Make sure to comment with the name of your country. If you would like more information before committing or have any questions or suggestions for the week, reach out to hewesmiddleschoolpta@gmail.com . An Amazon wish list has been included as a suggestion, but we are open to more ideas!
