A Message from Mrs. Pittser, Superintendent
The 2025-2026 school year is off to an incredible start in Panther Nation! From day one, we have witnessed energy, enthusiasm and dedication of our students, families and staff.
As a district, we remain committed to our mission of providing meaningful opportunities that support student growth while continuing to build and sustain strong relationships that truly define our Panther Community.
TOGETHER, we have laid the foundation for another great year!
Mission Moment
To provide a quality education, with opportunities and relationships, that cultivates success.
This fall, our school community celebrated the opening of the new Miami Trace Learning and Wellness Center.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Corey Dye as the director of this impactful facility, where he and the MTLWC team are dedicated to meeting students where they are and creating personalized educational plans that help them reach their potential.
Through collaboration and community partnerships, the center also provides wrap-around supports that extend care beyond the classroom.
We are grateful for the learning and wellness center and the many organizations whose time, expertise, and commitment help our students thrive.
Strategic Plan
The District recently renewed its strategic plan which will guide unified efforts to serve our school community.
Focus areas include: Academics, Careers, Staffing/Personnel, Communications, and Capital Asset Planning. To explore the action steps we will be pursuing, click here.
We value your input and look forward to the future successes we will achieve TOGETHER as a school community!

The Importance of Sleep 💤
A good night’s sleep is one of the most powerful tools for staying healthy and focused, especially for students. When children and teens don’t get enough rest, it can affect their ability to learn, concentrate, and regulate emotions.
Recommended hours of sleep:
- Elementary students: 9–12 hours each night
- Middle and high school students: 8–10 hours each night
Tips for better sleep:
- Keep a consistent bedtime and wake-up routine (even on weekends)
- Limit screen time before bed
- Create a calm, quiet, and comfortable sleep environment
- Encourage physical activity during the day, which helps the body wind down at night
Well-rested students are healthier, more attentive in class, and better prepared to take on the school day.
If you have any health-related questions or concerns, contact your school clinic to speak with any of our nurses.
