Falcon Flyer for Families!

We hope you've had a wonderful week and weekend, and we look forward to the 8th week of the school year next week! Please note that in two weeks we will begin Fall Break which will last from October 5-9 and October 12 (PD Day). When we return from break, it will mark the end of Quarter 1! Please make sure to check grades in Canvas and PowerSchool and reach out to any teachers with questions.

One activity that students complete daily during Falcon Time includes working on the Zearn application. Zearn provides on-grade-level math practice for students, and students are expected to complete between 2 and 3 lessons a week. Please check-in with your student on what he/she has completed for the week.

Late work is defined as a graded assignment that is not submitted by the established due date when the student was present at school and had the opportunity to complete and submit the assignment.

Students are expected to complete and submit assignments by the established due date. When a student is present but does not submit a graded assignment by the deadline, the assignment will be entered as a zero until the work is submitted.

Students will have two school days from the original due date to submit late work. Work submitted within the two-school-day window will be graded based on the student's demonstrated performance, with a maximum grade of 75.

After the two-school-day window has passed, the zero will remain unless an extension is approved due to documented extenuating circumstances or is required by a student's IEP, 504 Plan, or other applicable accommodation.

Late work procedures do not apply to assignments missed because of a student absence. Work missed due to an absence will be addressed according to the district's Make-Up Work procedures.

ST-ARTS GT Artistic Auditions will be held in the RRMS auditorium for 6-8 grade students from 4:30-7:30 pm on Nov. 5th, 2026. Students must complete the online registration to audition by Oct. 16th.

This year, your support will help us refresh and upgrade the school’s Canteen area, we hope to create a more inviting and functional space for our students.

We love volunteers! Please fill out the RHS volunteer form to get approval to volutneer for SMS. We will need volunteers throughout the year for various events, especially during state testing!

Please read our Student Handbook for the 26-27 school year. Students will receive a copy the first week of school.
