The Gator Gab 6th Edition🐊
Week of September 29th - October 4th
Dear Gators,
I think summer may be on its way out. I can feel it on the horizon. It's going to be a beautiful weekend. Rain is in the forecast for next week. Please plan accordingly for drop off, pick up, and appropriate dress.
I saw a number of kids this morning arriving with their student council election posters. They are so creative and they know how to connect with their constituents! I can't wait to hear the speeches.
Friendly reminder that Monday, October 13th is a non student day. Teachers and staff will be in training.
Have wonderful week.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 - October 15 to give recognition to the Hispanic and Latino history and culture, as well as the many contributions made to United States history and culture by the Hispanic American communities. Starting as a week-long celebration in 1968, it was expanded to a month in 1988.
The United States is home to over 60 million Latinos, nearly 19% of our total population. Hispanic people have been a part of our country from the very beginning, and continue to fuel our economy and enrich our culture as entrepreneurs, scientists, public servants, athletes, artists, entertainers, and much, much more. Our music, food, sports, art, architecture, and very history would be much the poorer without the presence and influence of Hispanic Americans. As the country continues to diversify, it's important for all of us to learn more about the Hispanic American experience.

Kindness Matters!
Gallardo’s Neighbors: Please be mindful of our neighbor’s property. We are not allowed to block driveways or wait on their property during morning drop-off or afterschool pick-up.
Stewart Street: Gallardo’s parents are asked to park in a designated space when dropping off or picking up a student. Stewart Street is an active lane of traffic and not an area to double park.
Reminders
Early Release on Thursdays: Students in grades K-5 are dismissed at 1:15 pm.
Please check and update your access to ParentSquare. Make sure you are getting all the latest information. If you want to receive texts, mark that. We rarely use the “urgent” messages, so if that is all you receive you will not get weekly updates.
