Welcome Back Cubs!

The start of a new school year brings excitement, fresh opportunities, and endless possibilities for learning and growth. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare engaging classrooms and meaningful learning experiences that will inspire, challenge, and support every student.

At our school, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. We value your support, involvement, and trust as we work together to help our students achieve their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This year we are utilizing a "Partnering for Student Success" survey to help identify family and student support needs. Families will be asked to complete this survey during Meet the Teacher or Curriculum Night.

As we begin this journey together, I encourage every student to come ready to learn, make new friends, try new things, and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Thank you for being an important part of our school community. We look forward to a fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and celebration. Together, let's make this school year our best one yet!

Please take a moment to review the Parent and Student Handbook. This has lots of important information about attending BCR. Here are some important highlights

  • Arrival Time: Doors will open at 7:45am
  • Dismissal Time: 2:55, Last Early Pick Up 2:30, Last Transportation Change 2:30
  • Dress Code: It's hot outside! We understand, but we still have to follow dress code. Shorts must be past students arms when by their side. Students will be sent to the clinic for a change of clothes and a phone call home.
  • Crocks are not King: Crocks are not allowed footwear on campus. Tennis shoes are the best!!
  • Car Rider: Every car must have a 2026-2027 car rider sign displayed for student pick up. Please keep it visible the entire time in car rider line. Please DO NOT line up prior to 2:30 for car line. Lining up early blocks the drive for emergency vehicles and early pick up.
  • Lunch with Students: Visitors will be allowed to eat lunch with students after the first 4 weeks of school.
  • Student Birthdays: Students will be celebrated for their birthday in many ways by the teachers and friends here at Bear Creek. Non-food items are permitted for distribution at the end of the day. Please do not send cupcakes, candy, cookies, etc. They will not be consumed.

The students with last names N-Z will be welcome from 2:00-3:00. Please be on time to your session. Feel free to drop off your school supplies. If you pre-ordered your supplies, they will be in the students classroom. Classroom assignments will be emailed a day prior to the event and also be available at the event.

We need your help!

A School Advisory Council (SAC) is a collaborative group of parents, staff, and community members who work with the school principal to provide input on school goals, student achievement, programs, and overall school improvement. Being a member means serving as a voice for the school community, sharing ideas and feedback, and helping support decisions that enhance the educational experience for all students.

The group meets once a month and meeting dates are listed. We are looking for members to join our group and help with the 2026-2027 school year. Members can attend at the school or virtually, so it offers great flexibility for busy schedules! Most importantly this year, we will be awarded A+ money from the state for our high achieving school rating. our SAC helps guide how that money is used and distributed. Without a SAC, our staff will not be rewarded with this award. Please join!! If you are interested being a member, please contact Margaux Horne at hornem@collierschools.com.
