Greetings Brown Families and Caregivers,

As we approach the holiday break, I want to wish each of you a restful, joyful, and safe vacation. Whether you and your loved ones are celebrating holidays, taking time to relax, traveling, or enjoying quiet moments at home, I hope this season brings peace, warmth, and time together.

Thank you for your partnership and support so far this year. Your involvement—whether through helping with homework, participating in school events, volunteering, attending meetings, or encouraging your child’s learning at home—has made a meaningful difference for our students and staff. Your collaboration helps create a caring and inclusive school community where every student can thrive.

We recognize and honor the many traditions, cultures, and beliefs represented in our school community. May you and your family find joy in whichever traditions you observe, and may this break be a time to recharge and connect.

Our last day of school before the break is December 23rd. School will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026. Wishing you a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season. Thank you again for being such an important part of our school community.

In partnership,
Dr. Even

If your child has illness symptoms:

  • Please keep your child home and refer to the Reasons To Keep Your Child Home From School guidelines.

Reminder to parents:

Students will be going outside if we are not experiencing severe weather. Please pack appropriately for outdoor play, including boots, coats, snowpants, waterproof gloves/mittens and hats, as well as a change of clothes to be kept in their backpacks in case they get wet while playing.

Hydration:

Please send your child with a water bottle each day. It is important to hydrate even in the colder months!

Also: If anyone has any extra hand-me-down pants that they could contribute to the clinic for “emergency” situations, the nurses would greatly appreciate it!

Report on Student Progress (ROSP) Report on Student Progress (ROSP)

On January 30th, 2026 at 3pm each student will have a ROSP available for viewing and printing in PowerSchool. This report provides information about your student's progress toward grade level standards that they are expected to achieve by the end of the school year. It is therefore expected that students will be "Beginning" or "Progressing" rather than "Meeting" at this time of year. Instructions for viewing your student's report can be found here.

Wildlife Safety Wildlife Safety

We continue to actively monitor all outside activities to ensure student and staff safety in the event of coyote sightings on or near campus. We recognize that many of you may have seen coyotes in your neighborhoods. To support our ongoing collaboration with families around this important safety topic, we are sharing this resource regarding wildlife safety, which also includes tips for talking to children about wildlife safety.
