From the Principal From the Principal

Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!

We're in the home stretch and what a way to kick it off! Field Day last Friday was a huge success. I want to take a moment to extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude for our amazing volunteers, our dedicated PTA, and our fantastic PE teacher, Mr. Kirby, as they were instrumental in making the day so fun and memorable for all our students.

Here's what's coming up during the final week of school:

  • 3rd Grade Visit to Saltar's Point! Our 3rd graders will get an opportunity to visit Saltar's Point Elementary to meet some of the staff and take a tour of the school on Monday, June 9th. Though we are sad to see them move on, we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments this year!
  • Beach Day Fun! Our students will be enjoying time at Sunnyside Beach to soak up the sun and make lasting memories with their classmates. Kindergarten and 1st grade students will head to the beach on Wednesday, June 11th, and our 2nd and 3rd grade students will have their day on Thursday, June 12th. Please be sure to review Beach Day expectations with your child.
  • Yearbooks Are Here! Yearbooks will be handed out on Monday, June 9th. Our PTA will be on-site from 9:00-9:15am and again from 3:20-3:35 for families who would still like to purchase a yearbook.

We are looking forward to finishing our year strong and to celebrate all the great moments we've shared!

Warm regards,

Christine Firth

Principal

Please stop in during office hours (8am - 4pm through June 12) to look for your student's lost items. The pile has grown exponentially since the advent of warmer weather. All items not picked up by 1:00 on June 13 will be donated.

We make every effort to return items that have names in them. To maximize the likelihood of getting lost items back when they are left on the playground, please make sure your student's belongings are clearly marked.
