GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
A Note from Mrs. Morris, Career Learning Principal
Hello families and students!
November is here, the air’s getting colder, the days are shorter, and it’s a great time to pause and appreciate all the progress we’ve made so far this year. I’m grateful for the energy, creativity, and hard work our students bring to their CTE classes every day.
This month’s theme, The Digital Learner, focuses on building the skills that help students thrive in today’s tech-driven world, things like file management, time management, and digital organization. These habits not only help students stay on top of assignments now, but also prepare them for college, careers, and beyond.
We’re also excited to launch Shark Tank this month! Students can sign up to share their innovative ideas, pitch their concepts, and learn what it takes to bring an idea to life. It’s always inspiring to see their creativity and confidence shine.
As we move into November, I encourage everyone to stay focused, stay organized, and take time to appreciate the progress already made. Every small step forward, turning in an assignment, trying a new challenge, or helping a peer, builds momentum for the rest of the semester.
~Mrs. Morris

Culinary Arts Pathway
October was a busy and exciting month in Culinary Arts! Students have been sharpening their skills, quite literally, as they learn the foundations of cooking.
We have covered everything from food safety to knife safety and have now moved onto selecting and prepping fresh ingredients. Students have explored how to choose and work with different fruits and vegetables, and now they’re ready to show off what they’ve learned!
To wrap up the month, each student will create their own cooking demonstration featuring produce of their choice. Students are putting their new knowledge and creativity on display and we’re excited to see their skills shine!
Finance Pathway
Financial Accounting Students Working Toward Microsoft Excel Certification
Students in the Finance Pathway currently enrolled in the Financial Accounting course are making impressive strides toward earning their Microsoft Excel credential. As part of their coursework, students are completing two lessons per week focused on building essential Excel skills that will prepare them for success in both academic and professional settings.
This hands-on learning approach not only strengthens their understanding of financial concepts but also equips them with one of the most in-demand tools in today’s business world. By the end of the semester, students will be fully prepared to sit for the Microsoft Excel certification exam, a valuable credential recognized by employers across industries.
“I'm so proud of the dedication my students are showing,” said Elizabeth Green, Finance Pathway teacher. “They’re gaining real-world skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.”
