March 2nd - World Mental Health Day
Monday, March 2nd is World Teen Mental Health Day. Started in 2020, this day focuses on encouraging teens to talk openly about mental health and supporting mental health education. The Brave Initiative Team and the Sources of Strength Team at TMS have been working hard to plan a celebration.
Thanks to bi3, Interact for Health, and the Joe Burrow Foundation, TMS has received funding to provide each student with a "mental health toolkit". Throughout the school day, students will receive different items to help them think about strategies to stay mentally well and deal with life's stressors. From journaling to being physically active, students will have the opportunity to think about what works best for them.
During lunch on Monday, students will also have the opportunity to think about individuals in their lives who serve as mentors. These may be individuals at home, in school, or in the community. As a school, we will create a display of all of the identified mentors.
We encourage you to ask your student about this celebration. If you have any questions or want any additional information, please feel free to contact Talawanda Health & Wellness at 513.273.3390.
Spring Pictures!
Please know pictures will have to be purchased prior to picture day. The cut off for orders will be Thursday, March 12th at midnight. Only students purchasing pictures will be photographed.
