Administrator's Message

Wildcat Families,

We've now completed week 2 of the school year, and we have lots of upcoming important events. This week, we have Back To School Night, picture day, MAP testing and our Color Run fundraiser kickoff! Please read the entire newsletter for more information on all of the above.

We ask that families please complete the Household Income Survey for 2024-25 on ParentSquare as soon as possible! This form is essential in bringing significant funds to our school.

We are appreciative of all the families that have already filled out the forms. Paper copies are available in the office as well, if that is more convenient. Please call the office if you are having trouble accessing these forms. 707-421-4225.

BGW School Calendar

BGW Happenings

Students learned and practiced how to draw/write music notes in Dr. Nomura's class.

The new Promethean boards come in handy when students show their work in Ms. Henry's math class!

Students in Ms. Magee's class practiced drill procedures in preparation for our first fire drill next week.

Back To School Night

Middle school Back to School Night is this Wednesday, August 28th, 5-7pm. Here is the schedule. We will start with a general session at 5pm in the MPR, followed by classroom visits. Students will be provided with the schedule to fill out for you on Tuesday.

Are you interested in being fingerprinted to volunteer at our school? We will have fingerprinting available on back to school night. The fee is $50, payable by check or cash. School sponsorship available if needed.

MAP Testing

This week we will be conducting MAP testing in math classes. Please send your student to school with a fully charged chromebook. We hope that you can have a conversation with your student about the importance of these tests. These assessments are important in helping us understand the areas of growth for our students at BGW, and also inform student placement for classes.

Makeup testing will be next week!
