Summer Update #1

Recent progress includes continued site work around the bus loop, tennis courts, high school, and middle school. Crews have been spreading gravel base and completing sand sub-base preparation for the new bus loop behind the middle school. Topsoil has also been placed at the new retention pond west of the tennis courts and in the new swales behind the high school. Concrete work advanced with the picnic table pad poured, along with new stairs and a portion of the sidewalk behind the middle school. Crews have also started pouring curb and gutter behind the middle school and high school, began preparing for concrete flatwork behind the middle school, continued storm sewer work, started staking curb and gutter for the new bus loop, and began work on light pole bases in that area.

Next week, work is expected to focus on curb and gutter installation for the new bus loop, followed by sidewalk installation. Crews also anticipate pouring the new sidewalk on the east end of the tennis courts, continuing light pole base installation and conduit work along the bus loop, and completing water main work along with a new fire hydrant behind the middle school.

Recent progress at the new facility includes continued interior framing in the administrative area, along with the start of CMU wall installation in the electrical room. Exterior wall work also advanced with the completion of Z Girt installation and butyl tape at the windows. Site and utility work continued with the completion of the catch basin and drain at the service bays, the transformer pad pour, and the start of exterior stoop pours. Electrical rough-ins continued at both metal-framed and CMU wall areas, ductwork was delivered for the administrative area, and perimeter fence fabric installation began on the south side of the site.

Next week, crews are expected to continue CMU wall construction in the laundry and shower areas while interior metal stud framing continues. Spray foam insulation is scheduled to begin at the administrative exterior walls, along with vent piping for the oil separator. Electrical in-wall rough-ins will continue, ductwork installation is expected to begin in the administrative area, and perimeter fence fabric installation will continue.

You may recall that rougly 1,000,000 worth of new furntire will be delivere and installed at our middle and high schools this summer.

• New furniture is scheduled to arrive July 20, and the assembly could take up to 2 weeks after delivery.

This summer marks phase two of our stadium renovations.
