Caragher's Corner
Hey GBS Parents/Guardians,
Great week at GBS, topped off with an assembly to boot!
We do have the NWEA assessment coming up next week and the week after. These assessments provide our school with information on how we are doing in meeting their learning needs. It provides us with important information that helps us to maximize our efforts to meet them where they are at and continue to grow.
Many parents have asked over the years, "What can I do?" Please:
- Encourage your student to try their best
- Make sure they get a good night's rest
- Grab a bite to eat in the morning
- Tell them to take the assessment seriously
Thank you again for all that you are doing to help us as we work with your student to make the most of their GBS experience!
Sincerely,
Adam Caragher

Curiosity Cube is coming to GBS!
We are looking forward to having our 5th & 6th graders visit the Curiosity Cube (https://thecuriositycube.com/), which will be onsite on Wednesday, October 9th. Sponsored by MilliporeSigma, the Cube is designed to spark scientific curiosity and passion, encouraging students to pursue careers in STEM fields. The Cube experiments are led by MilliporeSigma employees, giving students an opportunity to learn from “real life” scientists and ask questions about a future career in STEM! A photo release form was sent home with your student. Please sign and return it to your student's advisory teacher by Friday, October 4th. If you have any questions, or need additional information, please let me know!

Note from our Lunch Staff
As crazy as it may sound, we would really appreciate it if you could give your student small denomination/bills ($1's and $5's) if they are paying cash for their meals or extras. Don't forget that you can also put the funds on your students ID card by giving cash or check as well as through the online portal at linqconnect.com.
Thank you!
