TECH TOK - BYTE 23 January 2026
Application Support & Training Team | BYTE 23 January 2026
Welcome Back!
We hope your break allowed you to recharge. Much like the brilliant lights of an aurora, the start of a new semester brings clarity, energy, and a fresh perspective to our campuses.
In Conroe ISD, we believe that All Means All. To support that vision, the Application Support & Training Team works quietly in the background to ensure your digital environment is seamless, stable, and ready for learning.
Think of us as the constellation connecting your technology needs.
The view ahead is as bright and limitless as the galaxy itself. Our team is standing by to ensure your technology experience is nothing short of stellar this year.
As we set our coordinates for a successful semester, tell us: what goals are on your radar for the new year?

Software News & Updates
Eduphoria
π§ Facilities & Events: Update for the 26-27 School Year π§
We want to inform you that at the end of the 2025β26 school year, this specific module will be decommissioned and will no longer be available.
As a district, we will not be implementing a replacement for the Facilities & Events module. If your campus wishes to pursue an alternative solution, any decisions or actions would need to be coordinated directly with your campus administration.
Eduphoria Forms: Track Your Submission
When you submit a form in Eduphoria Formspace, you can easily see where your form is in the process.
-
On the right-hand side of any submitted form, under the History tab you can view the steps your form has already gone through.
-
The Remaining tab shows exactly who still needs to approve or complete the form.
This helps you know what workflow step your request is in currently.

Assessment Creation & Naming Conventions
As new semester assessments are created, please remember to follow the Conroe ISD assessment naming convention.
All tests should begin with the school name abbreviation
This ensures assessments are easy to find, report on, and manage (and DON'T get deleted) across the district. Learn more information here: Aware Assessment Naming Guidelines
Canvas LMS
Course Home Page & Student/Parent Experience
With the start of a new semester, please take a few minutes to review your course home page. This page is one of the first things students and parents/guardians see when accessing your course.
-
Make sure you upload a picture so families and students know who the teacher is.
-
Confirm that any buttons or links on your home page correctly point to content within your Modules, not outdated pages or files.
A clear, welcoming home page helps set expectations and makes it easier for both students and families to navigate your course from day one.
Course Organization & Content Management
January is also a great time to clean up or reorganize courses. Our Canvas knowledge base includes step-by-step instructions on how to:
-
Copy or transfer content from previous courses
If youβre teaching multiple sections or reusing materials from last semester, these tools can save you a lot of time and help keep your courses consistent.
New Canvas Portfolio Experience Announced!
Canvas has already introduced the upcoming Canvas Portfolio experience, released in November 2025. This new tool will make it easier for students to showcase their growth and will eventually replace both Canvas ePortfolio and Portfolium (Folio) by June 30, 2026. As you plan for Semester 2, be mindful of these future changes and consider reviewing any content in existing legacy portfolio tools. Users of the legacy tools will receive in-app reminders starting January 2026 and should export any existing content before the retirement date. Latest Canvas LMS Updates
