The Literacy Mosaic: Connecting the Pieces of Georgia’s Policy and Practice

Georgia’s literacy journey is made up of many essential pieces—each one contributing to a larger, more impactful picture. In this session, participants will explore how literacy policy and practice initiatives fit together to form a cohesive statewide approach. With implementation science as the guiding framework, we’ll discuss how to move from fragmented efforts to coordinated systems that support all learners.

A bit about Amy Denty...

Amy Denty is the Director of Literacy for the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), where she leads the department's literacy efforts, including its work under the Georgia Early Literacy and Dyslexia Act.

A teacher at heart, Denty has taught various subjects from Pre-K-8th grade. She loves her work as it allows her to support educators throughout Georgia. When she isn’t working, Amy can be found with a good book and a crab basket on the Georgia coast.
