Dear Ride Families,

With student and staff safety as our top priority and a close eye on the winter forecast, all Conroe ISD campuses and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.

We know winter weather likes to keep us guessing, especially across our large district. Please take time to stay safe, warm, and weather aware this weekend. We hope this extra day at home brings cozy moments, hot chocolate, and maybe even a little extra rest.

For the most up to date information, including district inclement weather procedures, please visit the Conroe ISD Inclement Weather webpage below.

As we bundle up for the season, we want to gently remind families how important consistent, on time attendance is when school is in session. Being at school each day helps students stay connected, confident, and ready to learn. We know mornings can be a bit tougher on chilly days, so thank you for making the extra effort.

Winter also means it is time to double down on healthy habits. Good sleep, nutritious meals, and lots of handwashing help keep our students feeling their best and ready to learn and play.

Thank you for being such an incredible part of our Ride family. We are so proud of our students and grateful for your partnership and support. It truly takes a village, and we are thankful to be on this journey together.

Stay warm and safe. We cannot wait to see everyone back soon.

Proud to serve the Ride Community,
Laura Collins & Angela Fonville

RideFest Information

RideFest is almost here, and we need our amazing Sally K. Ride families to help make it a success! Our event relies on generous donations from the community to build an incredible silent auction, and we’re also looking for underwriters to help cover event costs so that 100% of the proceeds can go directly back to support our school. If you or someone you know would like to contribute, no amount is too small — every donation makes a difference! Checks and donated items can be made out to the PTO. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please email skrridefest@gmail.com.

RideFest March 28th

We’re counting down the days until RideFest on March 28th! Every game, activity, and sweet treat is made possible by the generosity of Sally K. Ride families and our community partners. When you donate, we’re able to offer more fun for everyone — and ensure 100% of proceeds go directly to supporting our school and students.

YOU too can be a part of the event! If you (or a company you know) are interested in sponsoring or underwriting an activity, reach out to skrridefest@gmail.com.

With gratitude, a special thanks you to:
Texas Remodel Team and Suzanne Ross Realtor for underwriting our Dunk Tanks
Inspectioneering for sponsoring the Treat Walk

We can’t wait to celebrate together!

Attendance Attendance

Current Attendance Rate 96.39%

Our 24–25 attendance rate was 95.48%, and we’re aiming even higher for 25–26 with a goal of 98%!

At Ride, we want all Challengers to Achieve. A huge part of student success is directly connected to strong attendance. Every day matters, and we want to make the most of every moment we have with our students.

Please help us by scheduling appointments after school whenever possible and ensuring students arrive on time and ready to learn each day. Together, we can help our Challengers reach their full potential!

Today we celebrated our Ride Challengers who earned perfect attendance for the first semester—and we did it with an attenDANCE party! 💃🕺 We are so proud of our students for showing up, staying committed, and bringing their best every day!

All transportation changes must be received by 2:00 p.m. Please send all changes of transportation to ridetransportation@conroeisd.net. The e-mail must include the date, your child’s full name, homeroom teacher, bus number (if applicable), and the guardian's full name. All emails must be received before 2:00 p.m. If you submit a transportation change by email, it must go to the email address referenced above; transportation changes should not be emailed directly to the teacher. If an emergency arises, please contact 281-465-2800.

Please send a new email for each day the change occurs. We cannot accept notes for multiple days or with multiple changes. District policy states that a student may only ride the bus they are registered to ride; therefore, students may not have a transportation change to ride a different bus.

SCHOOL HOURS/ATTENDANCE/TARDY POLICY SCHOOL HOURS/ATTENDANCE/TARDY POLICY

User uploaded image
zoom_out_map

School hours are 7:55 a.m. - 3:10 p.m. Students must be in their classroom before the 7:55 a.m. bell rings, or they will be considered tardy. Please note that 7:30 a.m. is the earliest time that your child may be dropped off. We do not have staff available to supervise students until that time.

Attendance is vitally important to your child’s current educational growth and future development. Research confirms that attendance is one of the greatest factors contributing to student achievement. Please note that if your child comes in after 9:00 a.m., it will count as an absence unless your child has a medical appointment and brings in a school excuse from the doctor.

Tardy Policy

A student is tardy if not in the classroom at 7:55 a.m. If your child is tardy, parents must sign him/her in at the front office. When a student is tardy, an e-mail will be sent to the student’s guardian for notification.

BIRTHDAY TREAT GUIDELINES BIRTHDAY TREAT GUIDELINES

We love celebrating birthdays at school and welcome birthday treats! To ensure the safety and well-being of all students, we ask that families follow the guidelines outlined in the graphic. These guidelines help us manage allergies, classroom time, and school policies. Thank you for helping us make birthday celebrations safe and enjoyable for everyone!

LUNCH VISITOR INFORMATION LUNCH VISITOR INFORMATION

** Please consider limiting lunch visits to once or twice per month for each student, so that all parents have an opportunity to visit for lunch.

**Please limit the number of visitors to no more than two.

**Students may enjoy lunch with their parents/family only; please do not invite other students to eat lunch with your family.

**Please keep students and other children at the tables with you; do not allow them to run or play during lunch time.

NEW FOR 2025:

**We want to ensure the safety and security of everyone as they enjoy time together while visiting at lunch. If a grandparent or other family member wants to visit your child during lunch, the parent must send in written permission to the front office. The note will only need to be sent in once per school year, and at that time a notation will be made in the visitor system so that the school will have a record of the permission being granted. If a note is not sent, we will call a parent to grant permission before the visitor is allowed to join a student for lunch. Notes can be sent to: cvanloh@conroeisd.net
