We are Wolves!
I want to start with a huge Congratulations to our Wolves and Wolf Staff. We are an AVID National Demonstration school and this a big academic accomplishment. Our students and staff work hard every day by using our planners & binders to stay organized, focus notes to reflect and learn study skills, and with our AVID strategies in the classroom as we prepare for college & career.
I am so thankful for our community, and this week we celebrate Texas Public School Week. This week is an opportunity to recognize the hard work of public school educators and the educational opportunities provided by our public schools.
One of the many advantages of attending public schools is the rigorous and diverse range of academic programs. Students can earn high school credits and gain unique experiences--all while still in middle school. At CSP, we are proud to have the Baylor College of Medicine STEM +M Pathway and the Citgo Innovation Academy classes that all prepare students for Moody pathways.
Additionally, public schools offer numerous leadership opportunities through clubs, sports, and organizations, allowing our Wolves to discover their true passions by connecting with like-minded students and adults on campus.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge the dedication of all our staff at CSP and express my appreciation for our parents and community members who make it all happen every day for our students in the classroom.
Thank-you for your continued support of CSP, CCISD, and the Public School System in the Great State of Texas!
Your proud Principal,
Rachel Neff-Rupp

π March at the Wolfpack Library!
March is a busy and exciting month at the Cunningham at South Park Wolfpack Library! π
πΊπ WOLFPACK READS β MARCH EDITION ππΊ
March is all about perspective! This month, we are diving into Point of View and discovering how the way a story is told can change everything.
π Fiction Focus:
Students will answer:
What point of view does the author use in the story? What is the most likely reason the author uses this point of view?
Be sure to support your answer with evidence from the text!
We want students thinking about questions like:
Is the story told in first person (I, me, my)?
Is it third person (he, she, they)?
How does that perspective help us understand the characters or events better?
π― Objective: Students will examine the author's choice of point of view and understand how perspective shapes the narrative.
π Non-Fiction Focus:
Students reading informational texts will answer:
What is one key idea from your book? Identify one detail that supports this key idea.
Support your answer with evidence from the text!
π Special Spotlight: Read Across America Week!
In honor of Read Across America Week, we are exploring Informational Texts about Countries and Maps for the Month of March!
Oh, the places youβll go when you:
Read about different parts of the world π
Learn about cultures and landmarks πΊοΈ
Discover how to correctly use maps to get where youβre going!
Books can take you anywhere but maps help you find your way! This Month, students will travel the world without ever leaving the library.
So grab a book, explore a country, study a map, and let your reading adventure begin!
πβ¨ Where will reading take YOU this month, Wolfpack?
