Come and join us on October 18th at 6:00PM, for our very first ever author event, when we are joined by local children's book author team Jenn and Isaac Hunt! They will be reading from their story Snowy Halloween, which some of you may guess was inspired by a certain storm on October 31, 1991!! Check out the Hunt's on their Facebook page, Treasure Hunt Art and you can see a sample of all of the books that they have published, and we'll hope to see you all on the 18th!!

Last month, members of the Carlton Area Chamber of Commerce and Moose Lake Area Chamber of Commerce had the incredible opportunity to tour the newly constructed Carlton County Justice Center, thanks to Sheriff Kelly Lake!

A huge thank you goes out to Sheriff Lake for taking time out of her busy schedule to give us such an informative and engaging tour. She did an amazing job showcasing this state-of-the-art facility and walking us through its features!

The Justice Center houses the Sheriff’s Office, a 96-bed Jail, Patrol and 911 communications, Courts (including three courtrooms), Court Services, Probation, the County Attorney’s Office, and Public Defender offices. Located on a 28-acre wooded site, just three miles west of downtown Carlton, this facility is truly an impressive addition to our community.
