DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

IMPORTANT: Please bring your student ID card to scan or your lunch number. Having to look up so many names really slows the lines and cuts down on your lunch time.

SPANISH CLUB: There will be an introductory Spanish Club meeting Tuesday, September 8th at 3:10 p.m. in Room 117, Señora Mallett's room, for anyone interested in joining Spanish Club. Anyone that has taken or will take Spanish this year is welcome to join!

Homecoming Class T-Shirt Order Forms: Forms are found in your Class's Google Classroom. Please fill that out and get your payment to your class advisors promptly! Your shirt will not be ordered if you do not pay for it.

Homecoming Court Voting for SENIORS ONLY: Voting will open this coming Tuesday September 8th at 8am and the ballots will close Wednesday, September 9th at 3:00pm sharp. Homecoming Court will be announced by the end of next week.

ORAL INTERPRETATION: Our first oral interpretation team meeting will be next Wednesday, September 9th, at 3:20 PM in Ms. Oviatt's room, 201. We’ll get to know each other, talk about what to expect this season, explore the different Interp categories, and start thinking about pieces. No experience necessary—just come ready to have some fun and try something new!

SOPHOMORE CLASS: Freshmen Class T-shirts are in their Freshmen Google Classroom ready to be ordered! The order is due by September 10th.

JUNIOR CLASS: Juniors, your class tee shirt order form can now be found in your Junior Class Google Classroom. You must complete this form and payment needs to be submitted to Mrs. Loftin or Mrs. Bridges by September 10th by 3:10 p.m.

RODEO CLUB: The Sturgis High School Rodeo Club's first meeting of the year will be Monday the 14th at 5:30 PM at the new rodeo arena, between the high school and the Thunderdome. Everyone is welcome, including Jr High students! You don't have to actually rodeo to be a club member and participate in club events. The Rodeo Booster Club meeting for parents will be after the kids at 6:30 PM. For more info, call Sammi Johnson at 605-381-4780.

FCCLA: If anyone wants to join FCCLA, they can ask Chef Mica for the paperwork. Our first meeting is on September 16 @ 7:15 AM in Chef Mica's room.

FOOD SERVICE: The cafeteria staff would like to remind students that fruit, milk, and the salad bar are available with ALL meals at no extra charge.

October 8 (Thursday): Competitive Cheer (home meet)

October 22 (Thursday): Football, Cross Country, Boys Golf, Football Sideline Cheer

November 3 (Tuesday): Volleyball (vs. Douglas)

Your child’s school pictures are now available! To view them online, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.com. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address. You’ll need your student’s ID number or their portrait ID to locate their photos.

The Scooper Hub is a FREE after-school space where SBHS students can study, work with friends, get help from teachers, finish homework, prepare for tests, or make up quizzes and tests.

When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
Time: 3:15–5:15 PM
Place: SBHS Library
🍿 FREE snacks provided!

Come for 20 minutes or stay for two hours—it’s your time! Attendance is completely voluntary, and students who drive or have their own ride may leave at any time. Students riding the late bus must stay until 5:15 PM to receive a late bus pass.
