Mustang Families,

Our Painless Fundraiser was a huge success! We raised $21,587 that goes directly to our school! I am so humbled and grateful for this amazing community that came together to support our school. Your donations will all be put to good use to make the learning environment at Murchison extra special for our students.

Since we were so close to meeting our goal, I will be dressing up like a superhero sometime soon! Also, the classes that raised the most will get a crazy hair day. Those classes are Ms. Dorsey's and Ms. Krasnonosenkikh's class. If your child is in one of those classes, your teacher will be in touch about a day for crazy hair!

Families! It's about to be a long Thanksgiving break so it's time to stock up on library books during Family Checkout Week! This will be a time where adults can visit the library with their MES students and pick out books together! Adults will each be able to pick out up to 10 additional library books and check them out under their account. You must fill out the following form in order to attend: https://forms.gle/SGYE4Dt4KvbUuUrY9

Time will be 7:05-7:30 before school starts. All students with adults may enter through the library outside door (Door 2). No need to badge in at the front. Adults will be asked to leave through that door as well, and students will go to class when the bell rings.

Family checkout week will be by last name during the week before Thanksgiving as follows:

Last Names A-F: Tuesday, November 18th

Last Names G-L: Wednesday, November 19th

Last Names M-R: Thursday, November 20th

Last Names S-Z: Friday, November 21st

Books can be returned after Thanksgiving break, either directly from your student, or placed on the cart that will be placed at the front foyer of the school.

As you know, morning and afternoon dismissal are busy times in our parking lot! I wanted to send a quick reminder of safety expectations at dismissal.

We know students are eager to get home and have seen instances of students cutting across parking lots to try to cross more quickly. Please encourage your children to always use the crosswalk, where we have staff members helping them cross. Students darting across the parking lot at other places is simply not safe.

Thank you for helping to model and reinforce these safety expectations.

We will have our annual food drive hosted by Aramark beginning today. You will see a collection box in front of the school if you would like to donate!

Hendrickson High School Color Guard Program will be starting their winter season in a couple weeks. This year they will be looking for members in 5th grade to join their Cadet Guard! See the flyer below for more information.
