I show Respect

Respect means treating others the way we would like to be treated, valuing differences, and making thoughtful choices in our words and actions. As we approach Remembrance Day, we also take time to reflect on the respect and gratitude we owe to those who served and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. By showing respect at school, at home, and in our community, we help create a positive environment where everyone can learn, grow, and belong.

Rainbow Community Rainbow Community

Ms. Halvorson, Ms. Layte, Mrs. Kupp, Ms. Molloy, Mrs. Fast, and Mrs. Campbell are pleased to offer a Rainbow Community for students in Grades 3-5.

Rainbow Community is a welcoming, age-appropriate space where students can explore themes of kindness, respect, and belonging through stories, games, crafts, and conversations. The club provides support for students who may be exploring different aspects of their identity, while also helping all students develop empathy, understand diversity, and learn how to be supportive friends and allies.

Discussions and activities focus on the understanding that people and families can look different, and that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, accepted, and included within our school community.

All students from Grades 3-5 are welcome, and activities are designed to be developmentally appropriate, positive, and centered on building empathy, confidence, and an inclusive school community.
