Happy Friday, Bellevue family!

We’ve officially wrapped up the first quarter of the school year. That's nine weeks in the books! It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has flown by. This first stretch has been filled with learning, collaboration, and plenty of moments that remind us why we do what we do every day.

A big thank you to our teachers and staff for the effort and care you’ve put into setting our students up for success this fall. To our families, your support and partnership continue to make a big difference. Whether it’s attending conferences, helping with homework, or showing up for school events, it all matters.

As we move into the second quarter, let’s keep the momentum going. The work we do now builds the foundation for a strong rest of the year.

Enjoy a well-deserved weekend and take a moment to reflect on what we have accomplished so far. We’re proud of the progress our students are making and excited for what’s ahead in quarter two!

Have a great weekend,

Eric McCalla

Superintendent

Ford Driving Skills for Life Program - Free Teen Safe Driving Event

Ford Philanthropy, in partnership with BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, is thrilled to bring the acclaimed Ford Driving Skills for Life program right to Marshall High School on October 18, 2025!

This event complements National Teen Driver Safety Week which runs October 19-25 and is focused on raising awareness of major driving risks like distracted driving, speeding and impaired driving.

This isn't just another driving course – it's an exhilarating, hands-on experience designed to equip your teen with the critical skills they need to navigate today's challenging roads with confidence. For over two decades, Ford Driving Skills for Life has been tackling the real-world dangers teens face, from inexperience and vehicle handling to the ever-present threats of distracted and impaired driving.

Imagine your teen behind the wheel, getting FREE, behind-the-wheel Ford Mustang training! They'll learn invaluable real-world skills including:

  • Mastering Skid Control
  • Expert Vehicle Handling
  • Understanding the Dangers of Distracted & Impaired Driving
  • Crucial Electric Scooter, Pedestrian, and Cyclist Safety

This isn't just theoretical knowledge; it's practical, life-saving training in a safe, controlled environment with professional instructors. We have spots for up to 90 teens with a valid permit or license, so space is extremely limited!

But wait, there's more for parents! While your teen is mastering the road, you're invited to an exclusive "Ride and Drive" event where you can learn more about Ford’s vehicle safety features during an electric vehicle test drive. It's a unique opportunity to experience the future of driving firsthand.

Don't let your teen miss out on this incredible opportunity to become a safer, more skilled driver. This is a chance to give them a gift that truly lasts a lifetime.

To get a glimpse of the action, check out this program overview video! Driving Skills for Life

We're looking forward to a fantastic, impactful event in Marshall. Register your teen and secure their spot today – because safer roads start with skilled drivers!
