Message from Mrs. Jones
Hello, Fallbrook Students & Families,
What a memorable Homecoming week! "Meet Me in Rio" spirit days filled the campus with color and creativity, and lunchtime competitions between classes brought out our Warrior Pride each day. Float-building took effort, late hours, and more than a little problem-solving, and the results showed it; a big congratulations to our senior class for putting together the winning float!
Friday's pep rally set a celebratory tone, and included fun and engaging performances from many of our student groups. Our student section was loud for the Homecoming game from start to finish, and our band, dance, cheer, and ROTC brought spirited performances that made the night special. The week closed with a fun-filled evening at Saturday's Homecoming dance.
Thank you to every student, staff member, family, and volunteer who planned, built, cheered, performed, and participated. Events like this don't happen on their own. They happen because people choose to invest in them, and this week the Warrior community did just that.
Kickoff to College & Career:
As I shared last week, October marks our annual College & Career Month. All month long, we work to connect students with the supports they need to plan their next steps. This week, we are highlighting skilled trades and careers with a lunchtime Career & Trades Fair being held on Thursday, August 8th. Please also mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 21st, which is our minimum day College & Career Kickoff; students will be completing college and career focused activities on this day, including assessments like the ASVAB and PSAT, college application and financial aid workshops, and skills-based career exploration connecting students' interests with their future goals.
AP/IB Exam Registrations:
If your student is currently enrolled in an AP or IB exam, please remind them of the exam registration requirements and timelines. If you have any questions about AP or IB exams, or course expectations, please reach out directly to your student's teacher(s) for support.
Community Update:
You may have noticed that there is an SDG&E trailer in the district parking lot near Oasis High School. During times of forecasted high winds or other weather concerns that may impact power, they set up a "command post" that serves as a community resource as needed, frequently utilizing our district's centralized location for that support. For additional information or support, please visit the SDG&E website.
If there is anything you need, please feel free to reach out by telephone at (760) 723-6300 x3102, x3110, or x3103, or by email through our website.
Let's make this a great week, Warriors!
