Message from Mrs. Jordan
It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into November! October was an exciting month full of Stampede celebrations. We were thrilled to have 99% of our families attend parent-teacher conferences. This is an incredible turnout that shows your strong commitment to your child’s learning.
Also, a big shout-out to our PAC for hosting a fun-filled Monster Mash! This school was hopping with excitement and so many creative costumes. Thank you to all of you that volunteered to make this event happen. The students had a blast!
Trimester 1 ends on November 14th. You will receive information on how to access your child's progress report electronically during the week of November 17th. However, please know you don’t have to wait to check in on your child’s learning progress. The online visual progress report is accessible to students and families at any time in Powerschool. This is a powerful tool that provides a comprehensive view of your child’s performance. If you have not yet created a parent access account, please call our office for instructions. This report is continuously updated by teachers and you can view it at any time.
In this season of gratitude, I want to once again share my heartfelt appreciation for the incredible partnership we have with our families. Your continued support and involvement make Silver Ranch such a special place for our students to learn, grow, and thrive.
Whether you’re attending conferences, volunteering, joining PAC events, or simply encouraging your child each day, your efforts strengthen our school community in countless ways. I am so thankful for the trust, collaboration, and positivity you bring to our shared work. Together, we’re creating meaningful experiences and lasting memories for our students.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Stampede family.
Better Together — We are the Stampede!

Morning Routine Update
With the recent time change, we’re excited to return to outdoor recess in the mornings! Students were quick to notice the extra daylight and are eager to be back outside.
Beginning tomorrow, we’ll return to our regular recess routine. Students will have the choice to go outside, joining walking club in the gym, or enjoy games and coloring indoors. We’ll continue to adjust as the daylight changes later in the season.

Notes from the Library
Thank You for Supporting Our Library!
We want to extend a big thank you to all of our families for supporting our library through the Scholastic Book Fair! This year, we were thrilled to welcome around 300 students who attended and explored new books to take home. We had many parent volunteers as well, which we so appreciate.
Your support helps us grow our library collection and add shelves for all of the new books we plan to add. Thank you for continuing to share the joy of reading with your child/ren. We loved seeing so many families join in the excitement, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again next year!
During student’s Library Media class time we have been talking a lot about privacy and security.
When kids start to go online, whether they’re playing multiplayer games, using educational apps, or just following their curiosity on Google, it’s important that they understand the basics of online privacy and safety. With general guidelines around what information is and isn’t OK to share, and some help from parents when they’re unsure, kids can have fun and learn a lot in the digital world.

Books for Bundts
The BPS Foundation has partnered with Nothing Bundt Cakes to bring the Books for Bundts program to BPS schools!
Here’s how it works:
- Students log 400 minutes of reading each month.
- They can bring their completed log to Bismarck’s Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery to receive a free bundtlet.
- If your student earns a free bundt cake, please take a photo each time that can be shared with Mrs. Palczewski! Please email your photo to:

Annual Student Update- Reminder
Your child’s safety and success depend on us having the most accurate information — and we need your help to make that possible!
Each year Bismarck Public Schools request’s that parents/guardians of returning students verify their student’s information. The information you provide enables us to maintain up-to-date contact information for emergencies and allows our staff to provide appropriate care. Parent/Guardian(s) will use the PowerSchool Parent Portal or PowerSchool Mobile App to access the Annual Student Update forms.
One of the essential forms in the annual student update is contact review and updates. It is imperative that parents review this information for correctness and completeness. Our mass communication system uses contact information for emails, texts, and phone calls. Custody and living situations are important to review and update so BPS is contacting the correct adults.
The Annual Student Update should only be completed for students that were enrolled with a BPS school last year and returning for this school year. Newly enrolled students that went through Central Registration for this school year do not need to update their information again.
How do I get started? From a computer, Chromebook, smartphone or tablet, visit https://bismarck.ps.state.nd.us and sign in to PowerSchool. If using a smartphone, use the PowerSchool app or if using the website - landscape mode is preferred (rotated screen).
If you are not able to retrieve your login credentials using the “Having trouble signing in?” link on the Sign In page, please contact your school directly for assistance logging in to the Parent Portal.
Backpack-for-Kids Program
The Backpack-for Kids program is designed to help children by assisting them with food over the weekend. Bags are filled with nutritional food items and delivered to the school. If your family qualifies for the free or reduced lunch program and you need additional food for the weekend, please contact our school counselor, Ms. Lardy or call the school office.
Lost and Found Items- ACTION NEEDED
Our Lost and Found is bursting at the seams! Please take time to look through these items to see if your home is where they truly belong. We will be donating all items that are not claimed on or before Wednesday, November 26.
