Hello Dimond Families!
Dear Dimond Families:
Our PTSA could use some support with volunteering for the Lynx Lair. It is a great way to be an active part of our building culture and the Lynx Lair snacks and drinks are beloved by our students. PTSA will train you and work with you on availability - everything helps! Money raised through the Lynx Lair goes directly back into our building as grants for teachers, helping supply classrooms and providing appreciation treats for staff. Please see more information from PTSA in this newsletter.
Additionally, on Friday during homeroom, students will be given the opportunity to provide feedback on district practices through ASD Listens. It is not mandated, but a great way for students to share their opinions and voice with the district. Dr. Bryantt has shared that he will be personally reading the feedback.
Finally, I know families and students might still have some questions around the cell phone policy. Here is the Dimond Cell Phone policy on phones and devices which includes some FAQs. Students have done really well with the transition overall and anecdotally, teachers are reporting better student interactions in classes. Thank you for the support in focusing on instruction!
Sincerely,
Principal D’Atri

Lynx Lair needs volunteers
Volunteers Needed at Lynx Lair!
Want a fun, easy way to get involved at school and meet other parents? We’re looking for volunteers to help sell snacks at the Lynx Lair during student lunch breaks! Shifts are scheduled for 1.5 hours per week, and individuals may register for a recurring position or serve as an occasional substitute. We urgently need at least two parent volunteers for Monday, Thursday, and Friday lunches from 11:00 – 13:00! We are also asking for students who would like to help at the Lynx Lair during lunches to earn volunteer hours. We will do a drawing every week for the students to put their name in and get a free drink of any kind.
The Lynx Lair is more than just snacks—it’s a vital fundraiser that supports school activities like the annual art contest, fall carnival, and teacher appreciation events. Sales also provide mini grants to teachers for classroom projects, field trip support, and extra materials. Sign up today, check out our newly designed website, or email dimondptsaboard@gmail.com and be part of something fun and meaningful at our school.
Important Information from Last Weeks Newsletter
Lunch detentions
Lunch detentions are given for each tardy. Detentions are served in room B211 Monday-Thursday. Students must report within 10 minutes of the lunch bell and will be released with enough time to eat lunch afterwards.
Monday School is from 8:45-9:30am in the cafeteria on Mondays only.
Door Dash, Uber Eats, Etc.
Using a food delivery app is very convenient, but also a risk. We do not accept them at the front office and will not allow students to miss class to accept an order. All food deliveries will be placed on a table outside the front office. If your student must use a food delivery app for their lunch it must be delivered to them during lunch. Students will not be given a pass from their teacher to retrieve their lunch.
Don’t forget we have great hot school lunches available 5 days a week! Visit the Student Nutrition website for more information. (https://www.asdk12.org/Page/13240)
