For years, I've said that a school can only be as strong as the community and businesses that support it. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Sussex Academy community, I am proud to share that we have raised a total of $80,381.83 since launching the Soaring Higher campaign in August!

We are also proud to officially welcome two new Excel Level donors — The Mundok Family and Ahl & O’Connor Orthodontics, LLC. Their generosity and commitment will strengthen the opportunities we create for our students now and in the future.

This progress reflects the power of our community coming together to invest in the future of Sussex Academy. Whether it’s a $5 donation or a $10,000 contribution, every dollar makes a difference and we are deeply grateful for your support. Thank you to all of the donors below for believing in our mission and helping Sussex Academy soar higher!

Classroom sponsorships are available!

Did you know you can sponsor a classroom and contribute to Sussex Academy’s capital expense needs? With a $500 donation, you can become an Explore-level supporter of our Soaring Higher campaign. Your donation will be divided equally between a classroom teacher and the capital expenditures fund.

In return for your donation, your name will be posted as a classroom sponsor outside the classroom that receives the donation and will be listed as an Official Explore Level Supporter of Sussex Academy on our website.

AM Drop Off Procedures- Important Information!

At Sussex Academy, student safety is always our top priority. To ensure a smooth and secure arrival process on the secondary campus, we ask that families pull all the way up when entering the drop-off lane and use either the middle school entrance or the second entrance at the front of the building. Please also use the right lane only for drop-offs.

As a reminder, our doors open at 7:30 AM. Students are welcome to gather in the main lobby before the start of the school day to avoid the drop off traffic. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our arrival procedures safe and efficient. By working together, we can prioritize student safety, maximize efficiency, and reduce traffic congestion during busy morning times.

Happy Halloween

To make sure everyone enjoys the day:

  • Stay school-appropriate.

    • No profanity, offensive language, or inappropriate symbols on clothing or props.

    • Outfits must follow the dress code (length, coverage, etc.).

  • Keep it safe.

    • Props must be safe to carry and not disrupt class (nothing sharp, breakable, or too large to fit through doors/hallways).

  • Be respectful.

    • Avoid stereotypes that could be offensive or discriminatory. Stick to fun, general style cues.

  • Think practical.

    • Make sure you can still get to class, sit at desks, complete work, and carry your school materials.

    • Costumes shouldn’t block vision, cover faces, or make it hard to move safely.

  • Have fun!

    • Be creative and cheer each other on.
