The Baldwin Union Free School District recently offered students, K-12, a once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity to interact with NASA astronaut and alumna, Lt. Col. Jasmin Moghbeli, as she floated inside the International Space Station. This live "In-Flight Education Event" hosted by NASA was only offered to one other district in New York this year, making it a truly unique and valuable experience for students, teachers, administrators and families, alike. Since 2001, only 17 In-Flight Education Events have taken place in a New York school district, making this learning opportunity even more special for Baldwin UFSD.
