From the Desk of Ms. Ulloa
We are off to a good start in the E-TECH program! College classes are running smoothly. We currently offer 14 Dual Credit college courses on campus to our 9th and 10th graders. We currently have 102 - 11th graders and 82 -12th graders who attend the Richland campus for their courses. In addition, many of our students are actively participating in extra-curricular activities. If your child is not engaged in an activity, we strongly encourage them to find something that intrigues them, as we know that being involved contributes to student growth and success!
October 10th was the last day of Quarter 1, our Cycle 1. Please ensure that you check PowerSchool to see your student’s progress. Your child should be able to log into the Dallas College learning platform and show you their progress in their college classes. E-TECH staff conduct a weekly grade check for all dual credit courses to follow up with student progress. Help your child monitor their own progress by logging in to both Dallas College and PowerSchool. We should be aiming for A-B Honor Roll. Let’s get it!

Going Places with E-TECH
E-TECH senior, Ashley, is making us so proud during her senior year.
In an AC Circuits class, she led a focused session on college applications. She guided students through important topics such as the FAFSA, personal essays, and letters of recommendation, and created a Google Form to track their progress and timelines. She did a fantastic job engaging the students, and she has been asked to return in November to continue supporting their application process!
In addition, Ashley received acceptance into the Women of Distinction Program Fly-In Program at Smith College. This is an all-expense paid opportunity for students to see Smith College and determine if it's the right choice for them.
Way to go, Ashley!
On the way to Smith College!
