SFJHS Quote of the Week
As we wrap up this school year, remember that “the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack”—each of us has helped make this year great by showing up for one another. Just like Dr. Seuss says, “Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way,” take all you've learned and the friendships you've made to reach new heights this summer and beyond. Enjoy the last week of school, celebrate your hard work, and have an amazing summer—you've earned it, Lobo Pack!
SCHOOL FEES REMINDERS
Please start looking to see if any fees are due for your student. With Lagoon, and yearbook distribution coming up we would like to get all fees taken care of before those events occur so your students can participate! School Fees may be paid online at My School Fees. Other items, such as the Chromebook Protection Plan and yearbooks, can also be paid through My School Fees under “optional fees.” All credit card transactions, whether in person or online, will incur a $2 fee as directed by district finance policy.
Lagoon
Loading Buses at SFJHS/Lagoon
We will load the buses in front of the school beginning at 7:30 am and depart promptly at 7:45 am. Returning buses will begin loading at 3:30 pm and will be departing Lagoon promptly at 3:45 pm. Parents, please be aware that Lagoon closes at 4:00 pm this day so having your student stay later to be picked up by you won’t be an option. If a student rides the bus from SFJHS to Lagoon, they must return back to SFJHS on the bus as well. Any student who is not on their assigned bus by 3:45 pm will be left at Lagoon and will need to be picked up by parents. It is anticipated that we will arrive back at Spanish Fork Jr. between 4:45 and 5:00 pm. Due to the late return, please be aware that the school will not be open and school bus service will not be available. Students and parents should make the needed arrangements for rides beforehand.
Attendance Office Announcement
Just a few attendance reminders:
With the end of the year approaching us we know students are wanting to be checked out for different things. We ask for the remainder of the year that a parent or guardian comes in to sign your student out, and ONLY take your own student. We greatly appreciate your assistance with this effort.
If you’re leaving school, your parent or guardian will need to check you out at the front office. Remember if you leave campus WITHOUT properly checking out you will be marked as a sluff.
If your smiling face never makes it school, please remember to have a parent or guardian call and excuse your absence within two days.
Missing or being tardy to class can prevent you from participating in school activities like school dances, end of term rewards, and Lagoon at the end of the school year.
One Tardy = 15 Minutes of Detention
One Sluff (skipping class) = 45 Minutes of Detention
3 Hours of Detention = No School Activities
Detention will be served on a student's OWN time by working with one of THEIR teachers before or after school.
- Unserved detention will result in further disciplinary action and loss of privileges for other school activities.
- Students will not be allowed to attend the Lagoon field trip ir receive their yearbook during early yearbook distribution if they owe detention.
- Other consequences may include: Not being eligible for participation in extracurricular activities. This includes: athletics, field trips, dances etc.
- It is the responsibility of the student to make up any detention that would disqualify them from school activities.
