CYSP
Dear CYSP families,
Thank you for signing your student up for this great program. Our team is currently placing scholars with advisors and plan to have this fully completed by Monday, September 15th. At that point, advisors will be reaching out to scholars and families to provide information specific to their CYSP groups. We are also working on finalizing our kick off celebration plans. Once all details are finalized, an RSVP form will be emailed out to parent/guardian emails.
All the best!!
🧪🔭🔬Science Fair🧪🔭🔬
Students participating in the Science Fair will need to submit their topics to their science teacher by Sept 17. This will ensure that they have enough time to properly work on their projects and meet the other deadlines. If your student is in Honors Science it is required they complete a project on their own. Otherwise, students are completing one as a class, but they can also participate with one on their own as well. Please notify your science teacher as to the situation. Science Fair boards are purchased for the students that will participate in the school fair, about 30 per grade.

6th Grade Design and Modeling Designing for Those in Need
Last week in 6th grade PLTW Design and Modeling, students were tasked with developing an ankle foot orthosis prototype for a child with cerebral palsy. Teams worked diligently to brainstorm ideas. One member of the team acted as a model so that the orthosis could be physically tested for comfort. Everyone did very well on this initial build. I look forward to seeing all of their solutions throughout this course.
